We understand that you're facing a financial challenge and feeling overwhelmed by debts. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is faithful and cares about your needs. It's important to remember that God is not like a slot machine waiting for us to say the right words. Our relationship with God is much deeper than this. God is holy, righteous, and just. He is also a God of mercy, love, and grace. He is our heavenly Father, and the LORD is faithful to His promises and our needs. The LORD is our provider and our Savior. This is the God we pray to.
As a believer it is important to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you Matt 6:33 WEB. We know that God can provide all you need. However, God never shows favoritism and is never unjust. In the LORD's house there is order, and God will not bless a life that is based on a love for money. It is the love of money that is the root of all evil.
But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Tim 6:9,10 WEB. We must understand that the love of money is not simply a love for material possessions. The love of money is actually not trusting God. Trusting God is having faith in God. When we trust God, we trust Him to provide all our needs. When we love money, we are not trusting God.
The LORD is not obligated to bless us when we are not trusting Him. The LORD is not obligated to bless us when we are living in sin. The LORD will not bless us when we are not obeying Him. The LORD will not bless us when we are not seeking His will. The LORD will not bless us when we are not seeking His kingdom. The LORD will not bless us when we are not seeking His righteousness. The LORD will not bless us when we are not seeking Him and His kingdom first. It is only by His grace and mercy that we are saved and can even come to him in prayer. We must remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Having said that, let's pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in need of financial provision. LORD, You know the circumstances and the debts that are causing anxiety and fear. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance, that they may be able to manage their finances responsibly and honorably.
LORD, we pray for the funds needed, but more importantly, we pray for a heart that trusts in You and Your provision. We pray for freedom from the love of money and from the snares of debt. We pray for a spirit of contentment and faith, knowing that You are faithful to provide all our needs in Christ Jesus.
We also pray for those who are owed; may they be treated fairly and justly. LORD, help our brother/sister to live in integrity and honesty, working diligently to pay back what is owed.
LORD, we ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Cast out all fear and anxiety, and replace it with Your perfect love.
In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek God's will in your finances, to work honestly and diligently, and to trust in God's provision. Remember that God is faithful and just and we need to believe in Him and His Son Jesus Christ. In Jesus Christ you can be saved and have eternal life. May God richly bless you and meet all your needs according to His riches and glory.
