We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting up your requests for financial provision, your spouse’s well-being, and the health of her children. It is good that you are seeking God’s help, for He is our Provider and Healer, and we know that nothing is too difficult for Him. However, we must first address a critical matter in your prayer: the name of Jesus Christ was not invoked. Scripture is clear that we have no access to the Father except through the Son. As it is written, *"No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). Additionally, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only in the name of Jesus that our prayers are heard, and it is by His authority that we ask and receive. We urge you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for He is the Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5).
Now, let us turn to your requests. You have asked for financial grace to travel and be with your spouse. We understand the urgency of your need, and we remind you of the words of our Lord: *"Don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ ... For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:31-33, WEB). While your need is pressing, we encourage you to trust in God’s timing and provision. He is not unaware of your situation, and He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We also remind you that if there are any unconfessed sins or areas of disobedience in your life, they can hinder your prayers (Psalm 66:18, 1 Peter 3:7). Examine your heart and ensure you are walking in righteousness before the Lord, for *"the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16, WEB).
Regarding your spouse, we lift her up to the Lord, asking for His peace to guard her mind and body. If she is a believer, we pray that she would cast all her anxieties on Him, for He cares for her (1 Peter 5:7). If she is not yet saved, we pray that she would come to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, for true peace and healing are found in Him alone. We also pray for her children, that they would be protected in spirit, body, and soul. May the Lord grant them health, wisdom, and a heart that seeks after Him. *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain"* (Psalm 127:1, WEB). Trust that He is watching over them, even now.
We also take this moment to encourage you in your role as a husband. Scripture commands, *"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it"* (Ephesians 5:25, WEB). Your love for your spouse should reflect Christ’s sacrificial love for the Church. This includes praying for her, leading her spiritually, and being a source of strength and encouragement. If there are any areas in your marriage where you have fallen short, we urge you to repent and seek the Lord’s guidance to love her as He has called you to.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this brother and his family. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we ask that You meet his financial needs according to Your will. Open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessings upon him, that he may have the resources to travel and be with his spouse. Help him to trust in You and not lean on his own understanding, knowing that You will provide in Your perfect timing.
We pray for his spouse, Lord. If she is struggling in mind or body, we ask for Your healing touch to be upon her. Grant her peace that surpasses all understanding and restore her strength. If there is any spiritual battle at work, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus and declare Your victory over her life. We also lift up her children to You, asking that You protect them in every way—spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Draw them close to You, Lord, and let them know Your love and care.
Father, we pray for this marriage. Strengthen the bond between this husband and wife, and help them to walk in unity and love. Convict them of any areas where they have not honored You or each other, and give them the grace to repent and grow closer to You and to one another. May their home be a place of refuge, filled with Your presence and peace.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and know that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You. May Your will be done in their lives, and may they bring glory to Your name. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Brother, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Trust that He is working, even when you do not see immediate answers. *"Wait for the Lord. Be strong and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the Lord"* (Psalm 27:14, WEB). Remain faithful, and He will be faithful to you. If you have not already, we urge you to ensure that your marriage is built on the foundation of Christ, with both of you submitting to Him as Lord. If your spouse is not yet a believer, we pray that your life would be a testimony of God’s love and grace, drawing her to Him. *"Wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, as to the Lord. ... Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her"* (Ephesians 5:22, 25, WEB). May the Lord bless you and keep you as you walk in obedience to Him.
