Your honest prayer about financial pressure is heard, and it is right to bring it directly to the Lord as you have. He is the One who has promised to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and His thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. He has not forgotten you in this tight place.
What you described, fear and doubt and unbelief rising up when resources feel thin, is common, and Scripture speaks to it clearly. The Bible says God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. The fear that torments and paralyzes is not from Him. There is another kind of fear the Bible commends, which is not a phobia but a reverent awe of the Lord. That reverence is the beginning and the sum of true wisdom and knowledge. It means to love what He loves and to hate evil, to put Him first and to trust His character above our circumstances. When that reverence is in place, other fears begin to lose their grip, because the Lord Himself becomes our confidence and keeps our feet from being caught in the snare that the fear of man and the fear of circumstances can set.
God wants you to live in peace, and He has made a way for that peace. While we were still at war with Him, He offered a peace treaty through the blood of Jesus Christ. When you have peace with God through faith in Jesus, you can then know the peace of God day by day. Jesus said to His disciples, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The world’s peace depends on everything going well. His peace remains even when finances are uncertain.
That peace is described as perfect peace for the one whose mind is stayed on the Lord, because he trusts in Him. And it is described as a peace that passes all understanding, guarding the heart and mind in Christ Jesus. It comes not by denying the need, but by turning the mind toward the One who cares for you and by bringing every request to Him with thanksgiving. As you keep your eyes on Him rather than on the size of the need, He steadies your heart.
So in this time of need, keep calling upon Him and praying to Him, knowing He listens. Bring your practical needs before Him and ask for His provision and His wisdom for the next steps. Choose to honor Him with what you have, even in little, trusting Him to direct your paths. And when sudden fear tries to come, remember the promise that the Lord is your light and your salvation and the strength of your life. Whom shall you fear. He is watching over you and He will be your confidence.
May the Lord lift this burden of fear and fill you with His calm assurance. May He provide for your daily needs in the way He knows is best, and may He guard your heart with His peace as you trust Him.
