We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you, your wife, and your son in prayer, knowing that our God is a God of deliverance, healing, and provision. Your struggles—financial lack, sickness, and the deep despair you describe—are not unseen by Him. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We must first acknowledge that true peace, healing, and breakthrough come only through faith in Jesus Christ, not through any man, synagogue, or earthly means. It is by His name alone we are saved, healed, and restored (Acts 4:12). We notice you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your request, and we urge you to call upon Him directly, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.
Your mention of watching Emmanuel TV and desiring to visit a synagogue raises concern. Beloved, the Bible warns us not to put our trust in man or seek miracles through human intermediaries, for our faith must rest in Christ alone. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6). The apostle Paul also warns against following men over Christ: *"For when one says, 'I follow Paul,' and another, 'I follow Apollos,' aren’t you carnal? ... For no one can lay any other foundation than that which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ"* (1 Corinthians 3:4, 11). If any teaching or ministry directs your focus away from Christ—whether to a prophet, a church, or a television program—it is not of God. We must test every spirit (1 John 4:1) and cling only to the truth of Scripture.
Your suffering is real, and we do not minimize it, but we must also address the spiritual condition of your home. You mention that since marrying your wife, there has been no peace. This is a serious matter. The Bible tells us that a house divided against itself cannot stand (Mark 3:25). We must ask: Is Christ the foundation of your marriage? Are there unconfessed sins, bitterness, or spiritual strongholds in your home that have given the enemy a foothold? The Scripture commands husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25) and wives to submit to their husbands as unto the Lord (Ephesians 5:22). If there is strife, it may be a sign that one or both of you are not walking in obedience to God’s Word. We urge you to examine your hearts and repent of any sin, for *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:15).
As for your financial struggles, we remind you that God is your Provider. Jesus taught us to seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33). This does not mean prosperity will come instantly or without effort, but it means that when we align our lives with God’s will, He will supply our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). However, we must also be wise stewards. Are you praying for daily bread while also seeking work or opportunities to provide for your family? The Bible condemns laziness (Proverbs 10:4) but also promises that God will bless the work of our hands when we walk in obedience (Deuteronomy 28:12).
Your mention of not even being able to afford water breaks our hearts. We pray that the Lord will open doors for you to receive aid, whether through the church, godly believers, or unexpected provision. But we also urge you to cry out to Jesus directly, for He is the Living Water (John 4:10) who satisfies the deepest thirst of the soul. Physical needs are real, but spiritual hunger must come first.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting this brother, his wife, and his son into Your loving hands. Lord, You see their suffering—the sickness, the financial lack, the despair, and the spiritual battles they face. We ask for Your mercy and intervention. Father, if there is any sin, bitterness, or unbelief in their hearts or home, expose it and bring conviction. Let them turn to You in full repentance, for You are faithful and just to forgive and cleanse from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Lord Jesus, You are the Great Physician. We ask for Your healing touch upon this family. Rebuke every sickness and disease in their bodies, for by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Restore their strength, Lord, and let them rise from their beds in health and wholeness. Break every curse of poverty and lack over their lives. Open doors of provision, Father, whether through work, godly connections, or supernatural means. Let them experience Your abundance, not so they may hoard, but so they may glorify Your name and be a blessing to others.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of strife, division, and hopelessness in their home. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Unify them in love and faith, and let their marriage be a testimony of Your grace. Remove any idols or distractions—whether people, ministries, or false hopes—that have taken their eyes off You. Let them seek You first, above all else.
Lord, we ask that You provide for their basic needs—food, water, shelter—and grant them wisdom to manage what You give. If it is Your will, provide a way for them to obtain passports or travel, but only if it aligns with Your purpose and not man’s empty promises. Let them find their joy and fulfillment in You alone.
Finally, Father, fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Let them experience the comfort, guidance, and power that only You can give. May they walk in faith, not by sight, and may their testimony bring glory to Your name.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Beloved, we encourage you to cling to Jesus. Read His Word daily, pray without ceasing, and surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and pray for you. Do not lose heart. *"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Stay faithful, and watch what God will do. We are standing with you in prayer.
