Let us bring this request to God together, seeking His will and His provision. We remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:31-33 (WEB): "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
First, we lift up this family, asking that God would supply their needs according to His riches in glory. We pray that He would give them their daily bread, and that He would help them to trust in Him, even in times of financial strain.
However, we must also address that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6 (WEB), "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And as the Apostle Peter declared in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
So, we pray that this family would seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness, and that they would trust in the name of Jesus for their needs. We ask that God would increase their faith, and help them to believe that He is a good Father who gives good gifts to His children.
We also take this opportunity to encourage this family to manage their finances wisely, as the Bible teaches. We remember Proverbs 21:5 (WEB), "The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty." And Proverbs 21:20 (WEB), "There is precious treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man swallows it up."
Finally, we pray that this family would be blessed so that they could be a blessing to others. We remember the words of the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 (WEB), "Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver."
So, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking that You would provide for this family's needs. Help them to trust in You, and to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness. Increase their faith, and help them to be wise with their finances. Bless them, so that they may be a blessing to others. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
