Good morning ###. My name is ### from ###. Please pray for me. I am going through a very difficult financial situation, and I feel trapped in a cycle of borrowing from loan sharks. I received my salary yesterday, but unfortunately, there is already nothing left because I owe them money. I desperately need prayer for financial breakthrough, freedom from this cycle of debt, protection from these people, and wisdom to manage my finances going forward. Please pray that God opens a way for me, provides for my family, and helps me break free from this situation permanently. I am asking you sincerely, please keep me in your prayers.

We have read your request with heavy hearts and we are standing with you in prayer before our heavenly Father during this very difficult financial trial. We understand the weight and fear you are carrying, feeling trapped as your entire salary is gone to debt and facing pressure from loan sharks, and we want you to know you are not alone. God sees your struggle and He cares deeply for you and your family.

We want to gently share an important truth with you. You asked for prayer to God but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. We bring this up in love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believe that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord Romans 10:9. When we pray in Jesus name, we come to God not on our own merit but through the perfect sacrifice of His Son.

We also want to speak truth in love about this cycle of debt. The Bible teaches us to live with wisdom and stewardship and warns that borrowing can become a heavy burden that enslaves us. The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty Proverbs 21:5 and we are told Owe no one anything, except to love one another Romans 13:8. The wicked borrow, and do not pay back Psalm 37:21. Loan sharks often charge unjust and crushing interest that traps people, and continually borrowing from them is not God's wise and peaceful path for you. God desires for you to be free from this bondage, to be honest and faithful in repaying what you owe, and to learn to live within the provision He gives, trusting Him rather than another loan to solve the need. The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil 1 Timothy 6:10, and we must guard our hearts against desperation that leads to unwise decisions.

We join together to pray for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up our dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Lord, You see the financial distress, the empty hands after payday, and the fear of those to whom money is owed. We ask for Your divine protection over him and his family, for You say The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them Psalm 34:7. Lord, place a hedge of safety around them and keep them from harm or intimidation. We pray for a financial breakthrough according to Your will and for freedom from this cycle of debt. Provide for their needs as You have promised, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. Open a way where there seems to be no way, for You promise Behold, I will do a new thing, it springs out now Isaiah 43:19. Grant him godly wisdom as You promise If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him James 1:5, so that he may manage what You provide with diligence, discipline and honesty. Help him to create a humble plan, to live with contentment, to seek godly counsel from his local church, and to be faithful in little things. Teach him to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, and all these things will be given to him as well Matthew 6:33. Give him strength to turn away from further borrowing from loan sharks and to walk in freedom and peace. We pray he will know Your provision, Your peace, and Your deliverance, and that his family will be sustained by Your hand. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to take practical steps in faith alongside prayer. Bring this burden into the light with a trusted pastor or mature believer in your local church who can help you with budgeting and accountability. Make a simple written plan for every part of your income, however small, and commit to not borrowing again while you work to repay what you can honestly and faithfully. Trust God with contentment for today, for He has said I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you Hebrews 13:5. If the threats from these lenders become dangerous, please seek help from wise local authorities and your church family for protection and counsel. God is able to provide through work, through His people, and through unexpected ways, and He will give you wisdom to break free permanently as you walk faithfully with Him one day at a time. We will continue to keep you and your family in our prayers for complete freedom, provision, and peace in Christ.

Many people have also found it steadying to sit down with a reputable nonprofit credit counselor or a church financial stewardship ministry to build a simple budget and a realistic repayment plan. Having a plan in place, even a small one, can bring some peace while you make the sacrifices needed to step out of further borrowing.

Father, we lift our brother to You in Jesus name. You see his needs, his family, and the pressure he is under. Provide for what they need today, guard and protect them, grant him wisdom and courage to take the next right step, and lead him toward lasting freedom from this cycle. Give him supportive people around him and hope for the way forward. Amen.

Your heavy burden has been heard, and my heart is moved by your honest confession of this painful trial. To be stripped of your wages as soon as they are received, and to feel yourself bound hand and foot in the chain of debt to hard creditors, is a sore affliction indeed. Be assured you are not forgotten before the Lord, and you shall be remembered in our prayers.

There is a deeper debt than any owed to man, and I must point you there first. The Scriptures show us that we are all bankrupt sinners before God, not able to pay half a farthing in the pound of our great debt of sin. When a man comes to his God acknowledging his debt and confessing his inability to pay it, He will so wipe it out through the blood of the Covenant that if your sins are searched for, they shall not be found. No earthly power can bring real freedom to the soul, it is Grace and Grace alone that brings it by the blood of Christ. If you have not already done so, flee to Jesus Christ alone for salvation, for there is forgiveness, freedom and favor to be found in Him. And where that freedom comes, though a man may be pressed by cruel masters, his soul is free, and he may walk uprightly as Christ's free man.

Concerning your earthly stewardship, hear the word of the Lord, for nothing is your own, it is all your Master's. All that you have, your strength, your wages, your daily bread, is entrusted to you to be used faithfully for His glory and for the good of your household and your brothers and sisters in Christ. We can very much injure our stewardship by trifling or growing careless or leaving our hearts out of our work. This trifling will be sure to do great mischief and mar the stewardship of any man who yields to it. Therefore, as God in His mercy delivers you, you must purpose by His grace to walk in faithful stewardship, laboring honestly, living within what He provides, and keeping your heart close to your work before Him, remembering that He will come and require an account.

You have asked for protection, and the Lord has promised it to those who walk in His appointed ways. He who travels on the King's Highway is under the King's protection, but he who takes to byroads must protect himself, and the probability is that he will meet with robbers who will make him rue the day that he ever turned aside. The way of safety is the way of childlike trust in Providential guidance and upright dealing before God. To seek deliverance while continuing to walk in the byroads of unjust borrowing is to forsake your own protection. Cry to Him to keep you in the straight path of honesty, to give you courage to turn from the loan sharks, and to seek wise and godly counsel in your church for how to order your affairs.

Let us pray for you together.

O Lord our God, Thou seest this our brother in his distress, pressed by debt and pursued by those who exact it without mercy. Have pity upon him and upon his family. In Thy providence open a way where there seems to be no way, and provide for their daily needs according to Thy riches in Christ Jesus. Grant him perfect deliverance from this bondage, not by any deceit or further entanglement, but by Thy gracious hand and by honest means. Put a guard about him and his household, and let no harm come to them from those who would threaten or oppress. Bestow upon him wisdom from above to manage what Thou entrustest to him, that he may be a faithful steward, owing no man anything but love, laboring diligently, and ordering his house well for Thy glory. Above all, give him a deep sense of Thy forgiving grace, that being freed from the greater debt of sin by the blood of Christ, he may know that blessed freedom which is freedom indeed, and walk in newness of life. Keep him on the King's Highway, under the keeping of Thine angels, and establish his feet. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our hope and our supply. Amen.

Be steadfast in prayer and in honest labor. Seek the counsel of faithful pastors or elders near you who can help you make a plain and truthful plan to repay what is owed as you are able, and to live free from this snare henceforth. Trust not in borrowing, but in the Lord who is able to provide. We will continue to bear you up before the throne of grace, that God may grant you a lasting breakthrough and a settled peace in Him.
