We join with you in lifting up your financial needs before the Lord, trusting in His promise to provide for His children. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is not a vague hope but a firm assurance for those who walk in faith and obedience. We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:31-33, where He instructs us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your focus on God’s Kingdom and righteousness is the foundation upon which His provision rests.
It is good that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’"* And in Acts 4:12, we are reminded, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Your faith in calling upon His name is a testament to your trust in His power and authority over every area of your life, including your finances.
We also note your request for the return of what you have borrowed. The Bible speaks clearly about the importance of integrity in financial matters. Psalm 37:21 says, *"The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously."* And in Romans 13:8, we are exhorted, *"Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."* If there are outstanding debts, we encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in how to honorably resolve them, trusting that He will provide the means as you walk in obedience. If these debts are owed to you, we pray that God would move in the hearts of those who owe you, that they would act with integrity and return what is rightfully yours.
At the same time, we must ask: are there areas in your financial life that may not align with biblical stewardship? Are you tithing faithfully, as commanded in Malachi 3:10, *"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,’ says Yahweh of Armies, ‘if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for?’"* Or are there expenses or habits that do not honor God, such as wastefulness, greed, or reliance on ungodly sources like gambling or dishonest gain? Proverbs 13:11 warns, *"Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow."* If any such areas exist, we urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, for He is faithful to cleanse and restore.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks Your miraculous provision for their family’s financial needs. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust in Your promise to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory. Father, we ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out such a blessing that there will not be room enough to contain it. Let Your provision be evident in their life, not just for their sake, but as a testimony to Your faithfulness and goodness.
Lord, we also bring before You the matter of the borrowed funds. If our brother/sister is awaiting repayment, we ask that You soften the hearts of those who owe them and compel them to act with honesty and integrity. Let what is rightfully theirs be returned in full, and let it be a blessing that brings glory to Your name. If there are debts they owe, grant them wisdom and favor to fulfill their obligations honorably, trusting in Your provision every step of the way.
Father, we pray that You would reveal any areas of financial disobedience or unwise stewardship. Convict their heart where change is needed, and give them the strength to walk in obedience. Teach them to manage what You have given with wisdom, generosity, and faith, knowing that all they have belongs to You. Remove any fear, anxiety, or distrust, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We declare that no weapon formed against their finances shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Let no scheme of the enemy—whether through delay, deception, or theft—prevail against Your will for their life. Instead, let this season be marked by Your supernatural intervention, where doors of opportunity swing wide, unexpected blessings manifest, and Your name is magnified.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You align their desires with Your will. Let them not seek wealth for selfish gain but for the advancement of Your Kingdom and the blessing of others. May their heart be content in You, knowing that You are their portion and their exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Let Your will be done in their life, and let Your name be glorified through their testimony of provision.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
