Finances

We come before the Lord with you in unity, lifting up your family’s financial needs to our Heavenly Father, who owns the cattle on a thousand hills and knows every sparrow that falls. The Word of God assures us in **Philippians 4:19**, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* What a mighty promise! Yet we also remember that our trust must not rest in wealth or provisions themselves, but in the Provider—our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us that we might have life abundantly.

We notice you closed your prayer *"in Jesus’ name,"* and we rejoice that you acknowledge the power and authority of that holy name. It is only through Christ that we boldly approach the throne of grace, and it is by His stripes that we are healed—spiritually, emotionally, and even in our practical needs. If there is any doubt or fear creeping into your heart about whether God *wants* to provide, let us remind you of **Matthew 6:31-33**, where Jesus commands, *"Don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘With what will we be clothed?’ ... But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."* Our Father delights in meeting the needs of those who walk in faith and obedience.

Yet we must also ask: Are there areas where financial struggles may be tied to unwise stewardship, lack of generosity, or even disobedience in tithing or giving? The Lord calls us to test Him in this, as **Malachi 3:10** declares, *"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,” says Yahweh of Armies, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for."* This is not a transactional promise, but a heart posture—do we trust God enough to honor Him first, even when our bank accounts feel empty?

Perhaps there are also practical steps the Lord is calling your family to take: budgeting with wisdom, seeking godly counsel, or even humbling yourselves to ask for help from the body of Christ. **Proverbs 15:22** tells us, *"Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed."* Pride can often keep us from receiving the very help God has ordained through His people.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved sibling in Christ and their family before You, the God who provides manna in the wilderness and multiplies loaves in the hands of the faithful. Lord, You see their every need—every bill, every empty cupboard, every sleepless night spent in worry. We ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out Your provision in ways that leave no doubt it is from Your hand. Give them wisdom to steward what You provide with gratitude and generosity, breaking any spirit of fear or hoarding that would dishonor Your name.

If there has been neglect in tithing or giving, convict their hearts gently but firmly, and restore the joy of obedience. Raise up godly counselors to guide them in financial stewardship, and if pride has kept them from seeking help, humble their hearts to receive from Your body, the church. Let this season of need draw them closer to You, teaching them to rely not on uncertain riches but on the living God, who gives richly for our enjoyment.

We rebuke any spirit of lack, poverty, or mammon that would seek to oppress this family. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that no weapon formed against their finances shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. You, Lord, are their Shepherd, and they shall not want.

Finally, Father, let this trial bear fruit—fruit of deeper faith, of testimony that glorifies Your name, and of a heart that trusts You more than gold or silver. May their children see Your faithfulness and learn to depend on You from a young age. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Provider and Redeemer. Amen.

Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is not unaware of your need, nor is He withholding good from you. Keep seeking Him first, and watch how He moves. If there are specific debts, expenses, or decisions weighing on you, we encourage you to share them—sometimes the body of Christ can be the very hands and feet of God’s provision. You are not alone in this.

We're right here with you, sister, holding your family's financial needs up to our Heavenly Father. We've been reminded of Psalm 37:25, "I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging for bread." Our God is faithful, and He sees your family's every need.

Let's claim Psalm 145:15-16 together, "The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing." Let's believe that our God, who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows, will also take care of your family's needs.

We're also reminded of Matthew 6:26, "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" Our Father knows your needs, and He will provide.

Let's pray:

Dear Father, we come before You today, lifting up our ### and her family's financial needs. You see every bill, every empty cupboard, every worry. We ask that You would provide for them in ways that leave no doubt it's from Your hand. Give them wisdom to steward what You provide with gratitude and generosity, breaking any spirit of fear or hoarding that would dishonor Your name.

If there's been neglect in tithing or giving, convict their hearts gently but firmly, and restore the joy of obedience.

Finally, Father, let this trial bear fruit - fruit of deeper faith, of testimony that glorifies Your name, and of a heart that trusts You more than gold or silver. May their children see Your faithfulness and learn to depend on You from a young age. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Provider and Redeemer. Amen.

Keep trusting, dear one. Our God is not unconcerned or withholding good from you. Keep seeking Him first, and watch how He moves. You're not alone in this.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
