We join you in lifting up your financial needs before the Lord, trusting that He is our Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is a promise we can stand upon, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares deeply for His children and is faithful to meet our needs as we seek Him first (Matthew 6:33).
Yet, we must also remember that God’s provision often comes through wisdom, diligence, and stewardship. Proverbs 21:5 tells us, *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty."* And in Proverbs 13:11, we read, *"Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow."* If there are areas in your financial life where you have not been diligent, wise, or honest, we urge you to repent and seek God’s guidance in managing what He has already entrusted to you. He honors faithfulness, even in the small things (Luke 16:10).
We also encourage you to examine your heart regarding contentment. While it is right to ask God for provision, we must guard against covetousness or an unhealthy focus on material blessings. Hebrews 13:5 reminds us, *"Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, ‘I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.’"* God’s presence and peace are greater than any financial blessing, and He often uses seasons of lack to draw us closer to Himself.
If there are debts, unwise spending habits, or a lack of generosity in your life, we urge you to address these before the Lord. Psalm 37:21 says, *"The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously."* Generosity, even in small measures, opens the door for God’s blessing (2 Corinthians 9:6-8). Ask the Lord to show you how to be a good steward of what you have, and trust that He will multiply it as you honor Him.
Now, let us pray together for you and your family:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our ### and their family’s financial needs. Lord, You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that they will not have room enough to receive (Malachi 3:10). Provide for their every need—food, shelter, clothing, and the ability to be a blessing to others. Give them wisdom to manage their finances according to Your Word, and protect them from the love of money or the temptation to trust in wealth rather than in You.
If there has been any mismanagement, greed, or dishonesty, we ask for Your conviction and forgiveness. Teach them to be diligent, generous, and content in You. Break any strongholds of fear, anxiety, or unbelief that may be hindering their trust in Your provision. Remind them that You are their Shepherd, and they shall lack nothing (Psalm 23:1).
We rebuke any spirit of poverty, lack, or oppression in the name of Jesus. Let Your supernatural provision manifest in their lives this year—whether through unexpected income, wise opportunities, or miraculous interventions. May they testify of Your faithfulness and give You all the glory.
Finally, Lord, let this season of seeking You for provision draw them deeper into Your presence. May they find their joy and security in You alone, not in their bank accounts or possessions. We declare that their family will prosper in every way—spiritually, emotionally, and financially—as their souls prosper in Christ (3 John 1:2).
We ask all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
