We join with you in lifting up your financial needs and your family’s well-being before the Lord, knowing that He is faithful to provide for His children. Your heart for your family is evident, and we commend you for seeking God’s help in this time of need. The Word of God assures us that our Heavenly Father knows our needs even before we ask, and He delights in caring for us. As you’ve rightly acknowledged, Jesus Himself said, *"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them"* (Matthew 18:20, WEB). How wonderful it is that we can come together in agreement, trusting in His promises!
We are also reminded of the words in Philippians 4:19: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is not a vague promise but a declaration of God’s faithfulness to those who trust in Him. Yet, we must also remember that God’s provision often comes through wisdom, diligence, and stewardship. Proverbs 21:5 tells us, *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and those who hurry to be rich surely rush to poverty."* We encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in managing what He has already entrusted to you, praying for opportunities to work wisely, save, and use resources in a way that honors Him.
At the same time, we must examine our hearts to ensure that our trust is fully in the Lord and not in our own efforts or in the things of this world. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your focus on seeking God’s Kingdom—even in this financial struggle—is a testimony of faith. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He will guide you in providing for your children’s school and medical needs.
We also want to gently remind you that while God is our Provider, He often uses the body of Christ—the church—to meet needs. If you are not already connected to a local church, we strongly encourage you to seek fellowship and support there. The early church in Acts 2:44-45 shows us the beauty of believers sharing with one another: *"All who believed were together, and had all things in common. They sold their possessions and goods, and distributed them to all, according as anyone had need."* There is no shame in humbly asking for help from your brothers and sisters in Christ when needs arise. If pride or fear has held you back, we pray that God would give you the courage to reach out.
Now, let us pray together for your situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You as a united body of believers, lifting up this precious sister and her family. Lord, You see the needs before her—the school supplies, the medical expenses, the daily provisions—and we ask that You would open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessing upon her. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and nothing is too difficult for You. We pray for creative solutions, for unexpected provision, and for wisdom in stewarding what You provide. Give her discernment in managing her finances, and if there are areas where she can cut back or save, reveal them to her by Your Spirit.
Lord, we also ask that You would surround her with a community of believers who can come alongside her in practical ways. If there are resources within the church or among fellow believers that can meet these needs, we pray that You would make the connections clear. Help her to overcome any hesitation in asking for help, knowing that Your body is called to bear one another’s burdens.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or discouragement that may be trying to take root in her heart. Replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and fill her with hope as she waits on You. Remind her that You are Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord who provides, and that You have never failed nor forsaken those who trust in You.
Finally, Father, we pray that through this season, her faith would grow stronger, and her children would see Your faithfulness firsthand. May this be a testimony to them of Your love and provision, drawing their hearts closer to You. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that God will meet your needs according to His riches in glory. Keep seeking Him first, and do not grow weary in doing good. If there are specific ways we can pray for you further—such as for job opportunities, wisdom in budgeting, or connections within the church—please let us know. You are not alone in this; we are here to support and encourage you in the Lord.
