We understand that you're going through financial struggles and we want you to know that God cares about every aspect of your life, including your finances. We will pray with you and provide biblical encouragement and advice.
Firstly, it's important to remember that God is our provider and that we should trust in Him rather than putting our faith in wealth or possessions. As it says in Hebrews 13:5, "Be content with such things as you have. For he has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you."
In regards to those who owe you money, it's important to remember that God calls us to be forgiving and merciful, just as He is with us. In Matthew 18:21-35, Jesus tells the parable of the unforgiving servant, reminding us that we should forgive others as we have been forgiven. This doesn't mean that people should not pay back what they owe, but it does mean that we should not harbor bitterness or resentment towards them.
However, it is unclear if you have made a formal agreement with those who owe you money. If so, then you should work towards getting the money that was agreed to be paid.
Instead of focusing on the actions of others, let's focus on your own life and work. In Colossians 3:23-24, it says, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister in need of a financial breakthrough. We ask, Lord, that You would provide for his/her needs and that You would bless his/her work. We pray for a good salary increment, Lord, but more than that, we pray that he/she would find contentment and trust in You, knowing that You are his/her provider.
We also pray for those who owe him/her money. We ask, Lord, that You would soften their hearts and enable them to pay back what they owe. But more importantly, Lord, we pray that our brother/sister would be able to forgive and show mercy, just as You have shown mercy to us.
Finally, Lord, we pray that our brother/sister would work heartily, as for You, and not for men. We pray that he/she would find fulfillment and reward in serving You through his/her work.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
Finally, we want to encourage you to seek God's will for your life and to trust in Him. Remember that God can use all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Keep your faith in Jesus Christ and remember it is by His name that we have access to God.
