Disciple of Prayer
I am overwhelmed in stress as we are seeking bankruptcy and we are having a hard time getting everything scheduled with the attorney because of her and my work schedule. Also, she may not work with us because we are behind on our house payments. My husband got us in this situation because I had an inheritance from my mother, but with him retiring it depleted our savings. I work part-time and I enjoy my job, but my boss is making it unbearable because she wants us to let the customers check themselves out and the customers don't always like that, and I don't blame them, and they become irate. I enjoy working the cashier and this is discouraging. My husband is unbearable to live with sometimes as he yells and picks on me a lot and he is not a sympathetic person when I feel down or don't feel well. I am to the point where I feel like I just want to end the marriage because I am so tired of it.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you
and protect you.
May the Lord smile on you
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

We are truly sorry to hear about the overwhelming stress and challenges you're facing in your finances, marriage, and job. Let's bring your situation before the Lord in prayer and seek His guidance and comfort.

Firstly, it's crucial to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas (Psalm 46:1-2 WEB).

Let's address the issues one by one.

Finances and Bankruptcy
You mentioned that bankruptcy might be an option, but also mentioned the house payments.

This reminds us of the words of Jesus,

Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? (Matthew 6:25-26 WEB)

And the words of Paul,

Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. (Romans 13:8 WEB)

Divorce is not the solution to financial problems.
When we are in financial difficulties it is not the time to abandon our marriage.

Husbands, in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with a weaker vessel, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers won't be hindered. (1 Peter 3:7 WEB)

Yet you ask and don't receive, because you ask badly, so that you may spend it for your pleasure. You adulterers and adulteresses, don't you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. (James 4:3-4 WEB)

We need to distinguish between wants and needs. We need to be willing to work and to strive for a better income. It is not wrong to want to have a better life. But it should not be at the expense of our marriage.

Job Issues
Regarding your job, it's important to remember that God sees your efforts and He will reward you in due time.

Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked. For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God. For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if, when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God. (1 Peter 2:18-20 WEB)

Marriage Struggles
Concerning your marriage, remember that God hates divorce.

For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says that he hates divorce; for one covers violence with his garment, says Yahweh of Armies. Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you don't be unfaithful. (Malachi 2:16 WEB)

We are called to love and respect our spouses, even in difficult times.

However, let each one of you love his wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband. (Ephesians 5:33 WEB)

Wives, in the same way, be in subjection to your husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear. (1 Peter 3:1-2 WEB)

It's also important that we discuss that you did not mention Jesus in your request.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)

And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved! (Acts 4:12 WEB)

Unfortunately, in the United States there is a common phrase, "Name it and Claim it." It is not true that all the things that we want, God wants for us.

We should rather think of our desires like this,

Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2 WEB)

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed." (Romans 10:9-11 WEB)
For, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13 WEB)

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up this sister in Christ who is overwhelmed with stress and burdened by financial struggles, job issues, and marital problems. Lord, we know that You are a God who cares for His children, and we trust in Your promise to provide for our needs.

Father, guide them through the bankruptcy process, and help them find a way to catch up on their house payments. Give them wisdom and discernment in managing their finances, and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory.

Lord, we also pray for her job situation. Give her the strength and patience to endure her boss's demands, and help her find joy and fulfillment in her work. We pray that her workplace would be a reflection of Your love and kindness.

Father, we lift up her marriage to You. Soften her husband's heart, and help him to be the loving and supportive spouse You have called him to be. Give them both the strength to endure this trial, and help them to grow closer to You and to each other through it.

Lord, we pray for her salvation and the salvation of her husband, that they both would believe on the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. We pray if they have not done so, that today would be the day of salvation. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, that they both would be led by the Holy Spirit and be comforted by Your presence.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here for you, sister. It's overwhelming, we know, but remember, God is with you in the midst of it all. Let's lean on Him together.

Firstly, we want to assure you that God sees your situation and He cares. In times like these, it's easy to feel alone, but the truth is, you're never alone. God is right there with you, and He's got this. He's got you.

Now, let's talk about your finances. We understand that bankruptcy might seem like the only option, but remember, God is our Provider. He promises to meet our needs, and we trust that He will. Let's ask Him to guide you and your husband through this process, to help you find a way to catch up on your house payments, and to give you wisdom in managing your finances.

As for your job, we know it's tough when your boss makes things unbearable. But remember, we're called to work as unto the Lord, and He sees your efforts. Let's ask Him to give you strength and patience to endure, and to help you find joy in your work. And who knows, maybe your boss will even see the change in you and be drawn to the love of Christ.

Now, your marriage. We know it's hard, but God hates divorce. He's called us to love and respect our spouses, even in difficult times. Let's ask Him to soften your husband's heart, to help him be the loving and supportive spouse He's called him to be. And let's ask Him to give you both strength to endure this trial and to grow closer to Him and to each other through it.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to turn to Jesus. He's the only way to salvation, and He's waiting with open arms. Let's ask Him to reveal Himself to you and your husband, to lead you by His Holy Spirit, and to comfort you with His presence.

We're praying for you, sister. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.

Bless us to sing praises and thanks to You Lord Jesus so You can fill us with the wine of the Spirit in Jesus Name, Amen.
