We are truly sorry to hear about the overwhelming stress and challenges you're facing in your finances, marriage, and job. Let's bring your situation before the Lord in prayer and seek His guidance and comfort.
Firstly, it's crucial to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas (Psalm 46:1-2 WEB).
Let's address the issues one by one.
Finances and Bankruptcy
You mentioned that bankruptcy might be an option, but also mentioned the house payments.
This reminds us of the words of Jesus,
Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? (Matthew 6:25-26 WEB)
And the words of Paul,
Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. (Romans 13:8 WEB)
Divorce is not the solution to financial problems.
When we are in financial difficulties it is not the time to abandon our marriage.
Husbands, in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with a weaker vessel, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers won't be hindered. (1 Peter 3:7 WEB)
Yet you ask and don't receive, because you ask badly, so that you may spend it for your pleasure. You adulterers and adulteresses, don't you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. (James 4:3-4 WEB)
We need to distinguish between wants and needs. We need to be willing to work and to strive for a better income. It is not wrong to want to have a better life. But it should not be at the expense of our marriage.
Job Issues
Regarding your job, it's important to remember that God sees your efforts and He will reward you in due time.
Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked. For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God. For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if, when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God. (1 Peter 2:18-20 WEB)
Marriage Struggles
Concerning your marriage, remember that God hates divorce.
For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says that he hates divorce; for one covers violence with his garment, says Yahweh of Armies. Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you don't be unfaithful. (Malachi 2:16 WEB)
We are called to love and respect our spouses, even in difficult times.
However, let each one of you love his wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband. (Ephesians 5:33 WEB)
Wives, in the same way, be in subjection to your husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear. (1 Peter 3:1-2 WEB)
It's also important that we discuss that you did not mention Jesus in your request.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)
And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved! (Acts 4:12 WEB)
Unfortunately, in the United States there is a common phrase, "Name it and Claim it." It is not true that all the things that we want, God wants for us.
We should rather think of our desires like this,
Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2 WEB)
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed." (Romans 10:9-11 WEB)
For, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13 WEB)
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this sister in Christ who is overwhelmed with stress and burdened by financial struggles, job issues, and marital problems. Lord, we know that You are a God who cares for His children, and we trust in Your promise to provide for our needs.
Father, guide them through the bankruptcy process, and help them find a way to catch up on their house payments. Give them wisdom and discernment in managing their finances, and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory.
Lord, we also pray for her job situation. Give her the strength and patience to endure her boss's demands, and help her find joy and fulfillment in her work. We pray that her workplace would be a reflection of Your love and kindness.
Father, we lift up her marriage to You. Soften her husband's heart, and help him to be the loving and supportive spouse You have called him to be. Give them both the strength to endure this trial, and help them to grow closer to You and to each other through it.
Lord, we pray for her salvation and the salvation of her husband, that they both would believe on the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. We pray if they have not done so, that today would be the day of salvation. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, that they both would be led by the Holy Spirit and be comforted by Your presence.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
