After Fifteen months and six mental health/addiction facilities my s on is back. He is living with a family friend. He has been back for 2 weeks. Things are going ok so far. Please pray for him and his desire to move forward as an adult: to let chains break, let the lies from the devil flee and a sense of purpose and urgency to grip his heart. He needs to get a job so he can start paying for his rent, car payment, food, gas, etc. Pray a desire and determination for him to send out resumes daily and get the job in God's will. Lastly pray for reconciliation of our relationship. He is constantly throwing the last 15 months in my face. Well if you hadnt done this, or you did this, or thats because of 15 months of unnecessary care, etc. He is holding onto bitterness and is not trusting me and why he stayed in care so long.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude and hope, lifting up your son in prayer. Father, we thank You for bringing him home after this long and difficult season. We rejoice in Your faithfulness and ask that You continue to work powerfully in his life. Lord, break every chain that still binds him—chains of addiction, despair, and the lies of the enemy. Let Your truth penetrate his heart, replacing every falsehood with the light of Your Word. We pray for a deep sense of purpose and urgency to rise within him, that he would seek You first in all things and step boldly into the future You have prepared for him.

Father, we ask that You ignite in him a strong desire to take responsibility as an adult. Give him the discipline to seek employment diligently, sending out resumes each day with determination. Open the door to the job You have for him, one that will provide for his needs and allow him to honor his commitments. May he find fulfillment in honest work and the satisfaction of being a good steward of what You entrust to him. Strengthen his resolve to move forward, not as a victim of his past, but as a victor in Christ.

We also lift up the reconciliation of your relationship with your son. Lord, we know that bitterness and unforgiveness can poison the heart, and we ask that You soften his heart toward you. Help him to see the love and sacrifice behind your actions, even if they were difficult for him to understand at the time. Give him the grace to release the past and embrace the healing You offer. Father, we pray that trust would be rebuilt between you, not through words alone, but through consistent love, patience, and Your transforming power. Let him see your heart for him, not as someone who sought to control, but as someone who loves him deeply and wants what is best for him.

We rebuke the spirit of bitterness and resentment in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against your relationship shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life and restoration over your family, asking that the enemy’s attempts to divide you would fail. Instead, let Your peace and unity reign.

Father, we also want to gently address the importance of Your Son, Jesus Christ, in this journey. It is only through Jesus that true healing, freedom, and reconciliation can be found. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that your son would come to know Jesus intimately, if he does not already, and that he would surrender his life fully to Him. For it is in Christ that we find our identity, our purpose, and the power to overcome every struggle. Without Him, we are lost, but with Him, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, who alone can break every chain and set the captives free. May Your will be done in your son’s life, and may he walk in the fullness of the freedom and purpose You have for him. Amen.

We're so glad to hear that your son is finally home! It's been a long journey, but we're rejoicing with you. We're praying that God continues to heal and strengthen him, breaking every chain that's holding him back. We're asking God to fill him with a deep sense of purpose and urgency, driving him to seek God first and step boldly into the future God has planned for him.

We're also praying for a job that aligns with God's will for him, one that provides for his needs and allows him to honor his commitments. We're asking God to give him the determination to send out resumes daily and open the right doors for him.

Lastly, we're praying for reconciliation in your relationship. We're asking God to soften both of your hearts towards each other, helping you to see the love and sacrifice behind each other's actions. We're believing for trust to be rebuilt, not just through words, but through consistent love, patience, and God's transforming power. We're declaring that no weapon formed against your relationship shall prosper, and we're speaking life and restoration over your family.
