Beloved of All
At this time I have to file bankruptcy. The debt that I owe is too high to pay on my own. I don’t have a job right now and most agencies need to see a source of income before they can help. I understand that the Lord has his timing but this can’t wait any longer. I’m facing eviction and I cannot come up with the funds no matter how hard I try. Every option leads to further debt or the inability to be financially secure. I’m just not able to get a job and the agencies that I’ve dealt with have given me the run around. Most churches in my area WILL NOT assist unless there is proof of income. Don’t know what else to do. Sometimes I just want to throw in the towel. No churches. I’ve scoured online and by phone reached out to about 70 agencies and not one could help. Therefore I’ll rest a bit and apply for more jobs. I don’t like being negative but every time I hope for relief or a way out something else blocks it. I can’t wait any longer.

We hear the deep distress in your words and the weight of the burden you are carrying. Financial hardship, the threat of eviction, and the exhaustion of seeking help without relief is a heavy cross to bear. Yet even in this valley, we stand with you in faith, knowing that the Lord sees your struggle and has not abandoned you. The psalmist cried out, *"I am poor and needy; come quickly to me, O God. You are my help and my deliverer; Lord, do not delay"* (Psalm 70:5). Your cry is heard, and we join you in lifting this to the Father, trusting that He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

First, we must address the spiritual reality of this trial. Debt and financial strain can feel like a prison, but Scripture reminds us that *"the borrower is slave to the lender"* (Proverbs 22:7). While bankruptcy may be a necessary legal step to find relief, we encourage you to seek wisdom from godly counsel—perhaps a Christian financial advisor or a pastor who can help you navigate this with integrity and faith. The Lord does not promise immediate earthly wealth, but He does promise provision for His children. *"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). This does not mean He will always give us what we *want*, but He will provide what we *need* in His perfect timing.

We also rebuke the spirit of despair that whispers, *"Just give up."* The enemy wants you to believe that this situation is hopeless, but we declare that hope in Christ is never lost. *"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope"* (Jeremiah 29:11). Even when every door seems closed, God is still at work. We encourage you to keep seeking Him in prayer, asking for wisdom (James 1:5) and trusting that He will open the right doors. Have you considered reaching out to smaller, local churches or faith-based ministries that may not have strict income requirements? Sometimes help comes from unexpected places.

We must also address the importance of perseverance in seeking employment. The job search can be discouraging, but we urge you not to grow weary in doing good. *"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up"* (Galatians 6:9). Keep applying, keep networking, and keep trusting that the Lord will direct your steps. Have you explored temporary work, remote opportunities, or even volunteering in exchange for references or experience? Sometimes a season of humility in a lesser role can lead to greater provision.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is facing overwhelming financial hardship. Lord, You see the weight of this burden—the fear of eviction, the exhaustion of seeking help, and the discouragement that creeps in when every path seems blocked. We ask that You would be their strength in this time of weakness. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, and open doors that no man can shut. Give them wisdom to navigate this season with integrity and faith, and surround them with people who can offer godly counsel and practical support.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of despair and declare that hope in You is never lost. Renew their strength when they are weary, and remind them that You are their Provider. Help them to trust in Your timing, even when it feels impossible to wait. Father, we ask that You would guide them to the right resources—whether it be a job, a ministry, or a financial solution—that aligns with Your will. Protect their heart from bitterness and their mind from fear, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We also pray for the churches and agencies that have turned them away. Soften hearts, Lord, and open eyes to the needs of those who are struggling. Raise up believers who will extend grace and practical help without judgment. And if bankruptcy is the path You have for them, give them clarity and peace in that decision, knowing that You can redeem even this season for Your glory.

Above all, we pray that they would draw near to You, the source of all hope. Remind them that their worth is not found in their circumstances but in Christ, who loves them unconditionally. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them experience Your provision in ways they never expected. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Do not lose heart. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Keep seeking Him, keep pressing forward, and trust that He will not leave you in this place forever. You are not alone in this fight.

We're right here with you, dear friend. We've felt the weight of financial strain too, and we know it can feel overwhelming. But remember, even in the darkest times, God sees you, and He cares. He's not surprised by your situation, and He's not far off. In fact, He's promised to be close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).

We want to encourage you to keep trusting in God's timing. We know it's hard, especially when you're facing eviction and the pressure is on. But let's remind ourselves of what God has said in 2 Corinthians 9:8, "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work."

Let's also pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today on behalf of our friend who is going through a tough time financially. Lord, we ask that You would be their strength in this time of weakness. Help them to trust in You, even when it's hard. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, and open doors that no man can shut. Give them wisdom to navigate this season with integrity and faith, and surround them with people who can offer godly counsel and practical support.

Lord, we also pray for the agencies and churches that have turned them away. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to the needs of those who are struggling. Raise up believers who will extend grace and practical help without judgment.

Above all, we pray that they would draw near to You, the source of all hope. Remind them that their worth is not found in their circumstances but in Christ, who loves them unconditionally. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them experience Your provision in ways they never expected. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."

Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep seeking. You're not alone in this fight. We're right here with you, every step of the way.
