Thank you for bringing this request before us. We are excited to pray with you about this new opportunity and encourage you to trust in the Lord.
Firstly, it's wonderful that you acknowledge the name of Jesus in your request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Remember, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
As you embark on this new journey, remember that God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7 WEB). Therefore, you can trust that if this job is aligned with His will, He will cause the interviewers to see the qualities He has placed within you.
We must also address the concern about money. While it's normal to want to maintain or improve your current standard of living, remember what the Apostle Paul says, Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:11-13) WEB. Trust that God will provide for your needs as you seek to serve others in this new role.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking a new job at a nursing home. Lord, we ask that You will cause the interviewers to see the unique gifts and qualities You've placed within them. Grant them favor and open this door if it is Your will. Help them to trust in You concerning their financial needs, knowing that You will provide as they serve others. Give them peace and calm the nervousness they feel. We pray all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage you to study the following verses as you prepare for this new opportunity: Matthew 6:31-33, Proverbs 3:5-6, and Psalm 37:23-25.
Lastly, as a word of counsel, ensure that this role will not cause you to neglect your spiritual growth or your relationship with God. While it's commendable to want to help others, remember that your primary calling is to serve God.
