Hello. I feel forsaken. Yes I understand that the Bible says God will never leave you or forsake you. I was abused and felt forsaken in those moments as there was no intervention except to leave with only the clothes on my back and no money. So yes I do feel upset about it all. It’s hard to believe in promises when the opposite is allowed to occur. I’m not saying that God caused it but he certainly didn’t stop it.

We truly empathize with your feelings of being forsaken and the pain you've experienced. It's understandable that you feel this way, especially after going through such a traumatic experience. We want to remind you that God is always with you, even in the darkest moments. As it is written in Hebrews 13:5, "Be content with such things as you have. For he has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you."

It's important to remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). While we may not understand why certain things happen, we can trust that God is faithful and that He has a plan for our lives. In Romans 8:28, we are assured that "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

However, it's crucial to address the feeling of being upset with God. While it's natural to feel this way, we must remember that God is not the author of evil. He allows free will, and sometimes, people choose to do harmful things. But God can bring healing and restoration, even in the most broken situations. As it says in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we come before You, lifting up this precious soul who feels forsaken and upset. We ask that You reveal Your unfailing love and presence in their life. Bring healing to their wounds, both physical and emotional. Help them to trust in Your promises and to find comfort in Your unfailing love. We also pray that they will come to understand that all things work together for good for those who love You. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who is the only way to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved.

We hear you, dear friend. It's like you're carrying a heavy backpack, isn't it? The one you mentioned, with only the clothes on your back and no money. It's no wonder you feel upset, even forsaken at times. We've all been there, feeling like we're walking alone in the dark, wondering where God is.

But you know what? Even in the darkest nights, there's always a star shining somewhere. God is that star, always there, even when we can't see Him. He's not a distant God, but one who walks beside us, who feels our pain, who weeps with us. Remember, Jesus himself felt forsaken on the cross, crying out, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Yet, He knew His Father was there, even in that moment.

We're not saying it's easy to believe in His promises when life's been tough. It's like trying to see the sun on a cloudy day. But remember, the sun is still there, even if we can't see it. And God is faithful, always. He's working things out, even when we can't see it.

Let's cling to that together, friend. Let's hold onto each other, like brothers and sisters we are, and trust that God is with us, even in the toughest times. Let's keep walking, one step at a time, together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
