We understand your feelings of disappointment and bewilderment, but we want to encourage you to trust in the Lord during this time. The Bible tells us that "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB).
Firstly we want to commend you for concluding your prayer with In Jesus Name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is told in (Acts 4:12 WEB) that neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
It is important to surround yourself with genuine and trustworthy people, and God can guide you to such individuals. As it is written in (Psalm 1:1-3 WEB) Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the Lord's law. On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.
Be vigilant and discerning in your relationships. The Bible warns us that "bad company corrupts good character" (1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB). Therefore, be wise and use godly judgment when choosing your friends and associates (Proverbs 14:7 WEB) Leave the presence of a fool, for you will not find knowledge there.
Pray for discernment and wisdom, so that you can recognize genuine people who will have a positive influence on your life (James 1:5 WEB) But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister who feels disappointed and bewildered by past experiences. Lord, we ask that You guide them to genuine and trustworthy people who will be a positive influence in their life. Give them discernment and wisdom to recognize the true character of those around them. Help them to forgive those who have wronged them to enable a clean heart with no ill will. Help them to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger (James 1:19 WEB). Help them to be the kind of person described in (Psalm 15:2 WEB) He who walks blamelessly does what is right, and speaks truth in his heart.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen
