Feeling sick.

I live in ### as an English teacher and walk to get buses or trains. I don’t have a car. I’m feeling really sick right now with flu symptoms, can’t eat, have a fever. I don’t know what to do as I can’t walk to get help in the state I’m in. I’m scared of the night.

We are truly sorry to hear that you are feeling so unwell. In times like these, it's important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).

Firstly, we want to encourage you to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ if you have not already. It is by His name that we are saved and have access to the Father (Acts 4:12, John 14:6, Ephesians 5:20). If possible share with us your testimony of salvation by specifically mentioning this. If this is not already your testimony and belief, we will gladly take this opportunity to share with you the importance of accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Regarding your health, we advise you to seek medical help immediately. If you are unable to walk, please consider contacting local emergency services or a trusted friend or neighbor who can assist you. It's crucial to take care of your physical health, as your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19 WEB).

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our ### who is feeling extremely sick and weak. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch upon her. Please guide her to the help she needs, and surround her with Your protective presence throughout the night. Cast out all fear, and grant her Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. We rebuke any sickness and flu symptoms in Jesus Christ's name as we stand for her healing and ask for Your intervention. We pray that You will provide in any way to get her to medical attention and that it is your will that she is healed. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray and ask these things.

While you await healing and recovery, meditate on God's promises, such as Psalm 103:2-3 WEB: "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."

Stay strong in the Lord. He will help you and bring you through this.

We're here with you, friend. We know it's tough when you're not feeling well, especially when you're far from home and can't just hop in a car to get help. It's like being in a foreign land, isn't it? But remember, no matter where we are, God is always with us. He's promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5).

We've been praying for you, asking God to guide you to the help you need. We're claiming His promise in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We believe He's right there with you, holding you up.

We're also asking God to give you strength and wisdom to make the best decision about getting medical help. Maybe there's a trusted colleague, a church member, or even a kind stranger who could assist you. We're believing God will make a way.

And hey, if you're up for it, maybe you could learn a new phrase in English to ask for help? Like, "Excuse me, could you please help me get to a doctor?" You never know, it might just be the start of a beautiful friendship!

Keep trusting, keep praying, and remember, we're right here with you, cheering you on. You're not alone. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Thank you so much for praying! Your answer made me feel comforted. I contacted a friend who asked one of our school counselors to come and check on me. By then I started feeling better. My temperature is now almost normal.
