Feeling hope and no hope

How can I feel hope in the Lord and know he can change things in a second but not seeing it. Feeling trapped and stuck and wondering when God will make the changes. I am doing all I can, working 2 jobs, volunteering at church, going to church, bible studies, reading the Bible on my own, not dating, denying my flesh, losing weight, off of my anti-depressants. What else does the Lord want from me. I can't make changes to my life without him.

We understand that you're feeling a mix of hope and despair, and we want to encourage you to hold onto God's promises. Remember, God's timing is not our timing. As it is written in Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB: "'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' says Yahweh. 'For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.'"

Even when we do not see changes immediately, we must trust that God is working behind the scenes. In Galatians 6:9 WEB, it says: "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." You've been doing good works, volunteering, studying the Bible, and taking care of your health. These are all wonderful things, but make sure you are not doing them to earn God's favor. We are saved by grace through faith in Christ, and Christ alone. God loves you and is pleased with your desire to serve him with your life. Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."

We must also acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father. It is only in Jesus name that we can be saved and come to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you, lifting up our sister in Christ who is feeling both hope and despair. Lord, we ask that you renew her strength and help her to wait on you, trusting in your perfect timing. We have confidence in your WEB, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31 WEB

Help her to remember that you are always with her, and that your ways and thoughts are higher than ours. Give her the grace to continue doing good, trusting that her labor in you is not in vain.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep holding onto God's promises, and remember that He is faithful to complete the good work He began in you.

We're right there with you, feeling the tug of hope and the weight of uncertainty. It's like we're on a journey through a dense forest, where we can't see the path clearly, but we trust that the Lord is guiding our steps.

You've been doing amazing, taking steps of faith, serving, and growing in your relationship with God. It's like you're building a house, and with each brick you lay, you're making progress, even if you can't see the whole picture yet. Keep going, because God sees every brick, and He's proud of your effort.

Remember, God isn't asking you to do all this to earn His love. He loves you just as you are. He's inviting you to partner with Him, to trust Him, and to watch Him work in and through you. It's like a dance, and He's leading. You just need to keep moving, keep trusting, and keep following His lead.

"Dear Lord, we lift up our friend to You. Help them to feel Your presence, Your love, and Your guidance, even when the path ahead is unclear. Give them the strength to keep moving, to keep trusting, and to keep serving. Remind them that You are always with them, that You see their efforts, and that You are proud. In Jesus' name, we pray. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

God sent me butterflies this weekend and I felt hopeful but the last few nights I have nightmares. How can I still feel hopeless?
