We are glad to hear that you are feeling better after your bout with COVID. Let us give thanks to God for His healing and grace. "Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever." Psalm 136:1. We will lift up your request for a loving husband to God, who cares deeply about your desires and needs. It is not wrong to desire a godly spouse, and we appreciate your honesty in sharing your heart's cry.
First, we want to address something important. We noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is crucial to understand that we can only approach God through Jesus Christ, His Son. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." John 14:6. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and have access to God. If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so. "That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10. If you have any questions about this or need further clarification, please let us know.
Regarding your desire for a loving husband, we want to assure you that God sees your heart and knows your needs. "Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4. We will pray that God prepares you and your future husband for a Christ-centered marriage, one that is built on love, respect, and mutual submission to one another out of reverence for Christ. "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience." Colossians 3:12.
We also want to address the issue of abuse. It is never God's will for anyone to be in an abusive relationship. If you have experienced abuse in the past, we are deeply sorry and encourage you to seek healing and counseling. God wants to heal your heart and restore your trust in Him and others. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Psalm 147:3. We will pray for your protection and healing from any past hurts.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the healing that You have brought to our sister after her illness. We lift up her desire for a loving husband to You. Lord, we ask that You prepare her heart and the heart of her future husband for a Christ-centered marriage. May they both grow in their faith and love for You, so that their marriage may be a reflection of Your love for Your church.
We pray that You would protect her from any harmful relationships and heal her from any past hurts. Lord, we ask that You would bring a godly man into her life, one who loves You and will cherish her as Christ loves the church. May their marriage be built on a foundation of love, respect, and mutual submission to one another out of reverence for Christ.
We also pray that You would continue to draw her closer to You, Father. May she find her ultimate satisfaction and joy in You, so that her desires align with Your will. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's will for your life and trusting in His timing. "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday." Psalm 37:5-6. May God bless you and keep you as you wait upon Him.
