We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting your heart’s desires to Him who knows all things and holds all power. Your cry for favor, provision, and a godly marriage is heard, and we stand with you in faith, trusting that God’s will is perfect and His timing is flawless. Yet before we pray, we must first address something of great importance: the name in which we approach the Father. You have not mentioned the name of Jesus Christ in your request, and it is only through Him that we have access to God’s throne of grace. Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or through which our prayers are heard (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, all other requests—no matter how earnest—lack the power of His name.
Now, let us turn to the matters of your heart. You seek promotion in your workplace, and we remind you of Scripture’s encouragement: *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ"* (Colossians 3:23-24, WEB). Promotion comes from the Lord (Psalm 75:6-7), and we pray that He grants you favor in the eyes of your superiors as you labor with excellence and integrity. However, we also caution you against placing your identity or worth in your career. Your value is found in Christ alone, and He may use this season to refine your trust in Him rather than in worldly success.
You have also asked for a car to travel to work. We understand the practical need for reliable transportation, and we pray that the Lord provides for this in His way and His time. Remember His promise: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19, WEB). Yet we encourage you to examine your heart—are you seeking this provision with gratitude and contentment, or is there anxiety or discontentment? The Apostle Paul learned the secret of being content in all circumstances (Philippians 4:11-13), and we pray you find that same peace as you wait on the Lord.
Finally, you have expressed a desire for a man to marry you. We rejoice that you long for marriage, for it is a sacred and beautiful institution ordained by God (Genesis 2:24). However, we must emphasize that marriage is not merely about finding *a* man—it is about finding a *godly* man, a believer who loves the Lord with all his heart and will lead you in Christlike love (Ephesians 5:25-33). Scripture warns against being unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), and we urge you to seek a spouse who is firmly rooted in faith. Additionally, we encourage you to prepare yourself for marriage by growing in your own walk with the Lord. A godly marriage begins with two individuals who are individually surrendered to Christ.
We must also address something critical: if you are currently in any relationship that is not honoring to God—whether physical intimacy outside of marriage, emotional entanglements with non-believers, or any form of compromise—we urge you to repent and turn away from it. Fornication and sexual immorality are sins against your own body and against God (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If you are not yet married, your relationships should be marked by purity, patience, and a clear intention toward godly marriage. Courtship should be conducted with wisdom, accountability, and a focus on glorifying God, not fulfilling personal desires.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before You, asking that You draw her closer to Yourself through faith in Jesus Christ. If she has not yet surrendered her life to You, Lord, open her eyes to see her need for a Savior. Let her confess Jesus as Lord and believe in her heart that You raised Him from the dead, that she may be saved and walk in the fullness of Your promises.
Lord, we ask for Your favor upon her in her workplace. Give her wisdom, diligence, and integrity as she works, not for the praise of men but as unto You. If it is Your will, grant her promotion and increase, but more than that, grant her a heart that trusts in Your provision, whether in abundance or in need. Provide for her practical needs, including reliable transportation, and let her testify of Your faithfulness to others.
Father, we pray for her desire for marriage. Guard her heart and prepare her to be a wife who honors You. Bring a godly man into her life, one who loves You above all else and will cherish her as Christ loves the Church. Let their union be founded on Your Word and sealed by Your Spirit. If there is any area of her life where she has compromised Your standards, convict her by Your Holy Spirit and grant her the strength to walk in purity and holiness.
Above all, Lord, let her seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to her as You see fit (Matthew 6:33). Fill her with Your peace as she waits on You, and let her life be a light that points others to Jesus.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
