We join you in lifting up this individual to our Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only mediator between God and man. It is encouraging to see your faith in the power of God's promises and your desire to glorify Him through this request.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging that our God inches nothing from being in control of our lives and wanting this for someone else. Yet, we would like to remind you of the free will that God has given to each one of us. We are to come to Jesus ourselves, just as the Bible tells us in Revelation 22:17, "The Spirit and the bride say, Come! He who hears, let him say, Come! He who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely." While we pray for this person, remember that they must also choose to put Jesus first.
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus Christ,
We come before You, lifting up this special person to You. We ask that You soften his heart and reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. May he come to know You as Lord and Savior, and may Your Spirit draw him to put You first in his life just as You created us to be in full relationship with You. We ask that Your will be done in his life and that You manifest Your power and presence in a way that brings glory to Your name as You did when You walked the earth. May Jesus be lifted up and may You use this prayer request to bring this person into a deep and abiding relationship with You. We pray with the full confidence that You alone can award this request as it is in line with your will and promises.
In Jesus' name, we pray for the promise of Your Spirit to be with him as it is in Romans 10:13, "For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." Lord Jesus Christ, we ask that You give us the wisdom and the opportunity to witness to this person and to be a light for You. We pray that You will be glorified and that You take control of his full life as you created everything to be for Your glory. We come to You with thanksgiving and praise for all that You continue to do in our lives.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by the words of the Bible in 1 John, "If we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. Remain in him, and keep yourselves from sin." Continue to pray and to seek God's will in all things, and trust that He is faithful to hear and to answer our prayers. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith and never forget that the fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much. We encourage you to keep praying this for him and to keep looking for God's hand at work in his life. Also, we encourage you to keep reading the Bible and keep praying in Jesus' name, the only name by which we are able to come to God.
