We come before the Lord with your request, lifting up your heart’s desires to Him who knows all things. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you"* (John 16:23). There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is by His blood alone that we are cleansed and made righteous before God. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9).
Now, let us pray over your requests with a heart aligned to God’s will.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your favor to rest upon this dear one. Lord, You promise in Your Word that *"the LORD is my shepherd; I shall lack nothing"* (Psalm 23:1). We ask that You open doors for a good, remote job that aligns with Your purpose—one that provides stability, peace, and the ability to work from home as they have requested. May the skills and talents You have placed within them be recognized by those who can offer such an opportunity. We declare that *"the LORD will open to you his good treasure in the heavens to give the rain of your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand"* (Deuteronomy 28:12).
Father, we must address the request regarding the return of an ex-partner. Scripture is clear that we are not to be *"unequally yoked with unbelievers"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this person is not a believer, or if the past relationship was marked by sin, brokenness, or disobedience to Your Word, we ask that You guard their heart. Instead of seeking to restore what may not have been of You, we pray for Your best for them—a godly spouse who loves You first and foremost. *"Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). If this is not Your will, Lord, we ask that You remove the longing and replace it with Your perfect peace.
We also lift up the desire for a home—a place of safety, rest, and authenticity. Lord, You have said, *"In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you"* (John 14:2). We ask that You provide a dwelling where they can thrive, create, and be fully themselves under Your covering. May it be a sanctuary where Your presence is felt, and Your Word is honored.
For the writing of their novel and science fiction works, we declare that *"every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights"* (James 1:17). Lord, ignite their creativity, discipline, and passion for storytelling. May their words bring glory to You and point others to truth. We rebuke any spirit of distraction, procrastination, or doubt, and we declare that *"whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23).
Father, we also lift up the mention of political figures they have prayed for. While we are called to pray for our leaders (*"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men; for kings and all who are in high places"*—1 Timothy 2:1-2), we must remember that our ultimate hope is not in man but in You. May Your will be done in our nations, and may Your people seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness.
Finally, we rebuke any spirit of isolation or self-reliance that may be present in the phrase *"I am no one’s business."* Scripture tells us, *"Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others"* (Philippians 2:4). We are called to community, accountability, and love. Lord, if there is loneliness or pride at work, we ask that You break it and draw them into healthy, godly relationships where they can grow and be known.
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. May Your grace, which is sufficient, cover every area of their life. May Your will be done, and may they walk in the fullness of Your blessings as they seek You above all else. Amen.
