We hear your cry for favor in securing a good job and the peace of having your own space, free from conflict and obstruction. It’s clear you desire God’s blessing over your life and relationships, and we stand with you in seeking His will in these areas. Let us first acknowledge that all good things come from the Lord, and it is through His grace that our needs are met. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We trust that God sees your heart and will provide for you in ways that honor Him.
However, we must also address the tone and focus of your request. While it is right to ask God for provision and favor, we must guard our hearts against bitterness or resentment toward others, even those who may have wronged us. Your words about your father—asking that he "stops blocking my way" and "becomes a blessing only towards me"—carry a sense of division and demand that does not align with the love and forgiveness Christ calls us to. Scripture reminds us in Ephesians 4:31-32, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* Instead of asking for God to change your father’s actions to suit your desires, we should pray for reconciliation, understanding, and a heart that seeks unity rather than division.
We also want to gently remind you that our prayers must always be submitted in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."* There is no other name by which we can be saved or through which our prayers are heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for He alone can bring true peace, provision, and transformation to your life.
Let us now lift your requests to the Lord in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up ###’s needs to You. Lord, You know the desires of her heart—a good job to provide for herself and a peaceful home life. We ask that You open doors of opportunity for her, guiding her to work that is fulfilling and honors You. Provide for her every need according to Your riches in glory, and grant her favor in the eyes of those who can help her.
Father, we also pray for her relationship with her father. Soften both of their hearts, Lord, and help them to see one another through Your eyes. Where there has been conflict or misunderstanding, bring healing and restoration. Teach ### to forgive as You have forgiven her, and help her father to be a source of blessing in her life, not obstruction. Let Your love and peace reign in their home, and may their relationship reflect Your grace.
Lord, we ask that You draw ### closer to You. If she has not yet surrendered her life to Jesus Christ, reveal Your truth to her and help her to trust in You alone for salvation. May she find her identity, security, and purpose in You, and may her life bring glory to Your name.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
###, we encourage you to continue seeking God’s will in all things. Trust that He is working even when you cannot see it, and remember that His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). If you are struggling with unforgiveness or bitterness, ask the Holy Spirit to help you release those burdens and walk in the freedom Christ offers. Keep your focus on Him, and He will direct your steps.
