We join you in seeking the Lord’s favor and wisdom, knowing that apart from Him, we can do nothing of eternal value. The Scriptures remind us in James 1:5, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* This is a promise we can cling to, for our Heavenly Father delights in granting wisdom to those who humbly seek it. Likewise, we are assured in Psalm 90:17, *"Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands."* His favor is not earned by our efforts but is a gift of His grace as we walk in obedience and trust in Him.
Yet we must also remember that wisdom and favor flow from a heart fully surrendered to Christ. If we are not actively pursuing a relationship with Jesus, seeking His will above our own, even our prayers for wisdom and favor may fall short. Do you daily abide in Him, studying His Word and yielding to His Spirit? It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, as Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* There is no other name by which we are saved, and no other path to the blessings we seek. If your faith is not firmly rooted in Jesus alone, we urge you to repent and place your full trust in Him today—for salvation, for wisdom, and for every need.
We also encourage you to examine your motives. Are you seeking wisdom to glorify God, or to advance your own ambitions? True wisdom is marked by humility, purity, and a desire to serve others as Christ did. James 3:17 tells us, *"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy."* Let us pray that the Lord would align your heart with His, so that the wisdom you receive would bear fruit for His kingdom.
Father in Heaven, we lift up this beloved sibling in Christ, asking that You would pour out Your favor upon them like a mighty river. Open doors that no one can shut, and grant them wisdom that surpasses human understanding. May they walk in step with Your Spirit, discerning Your voice above all others. Establish the work of their hands, Lord, and let every effort be rooted in love for You and for others. If there is any area of their life where they have not fully surrendered to You, convict them by Your Spirit and draw them deeper into Your presence. We ask that You would guard their heart against pride, selfish ambition, or reliance on their own strength. Instead, fill them with a hunger for Your Word and a passion to serve wherever You place them. May Your favor rest upon them not for their own glory, but so that others may see Your goodness and turn to You. We pray all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
