šŸ™ Jesus said, "Pray in this way: ā€˜Our Father in Heaven, Your Name be honored. Your Kingdom come. Your Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, forever, Amen.’" Matt 6:9-13. This prayer Jesus gave teaches us: 1) Actually ask God for His Glory, 2) What Order to Ask (Think priority level here) Before we ask for our earthly needs and concerns, but to also ask Him for His Name to be known, His Kingdom to expand and ultimately arrive, and for His Will to be known and done in our lives, in our families, churches, nations, the world. To ask for these things not only like we pray for our needs, but in to place God's Priorities Higher Than to our own needs. This one realization alone would help God reign more powerfully in our lives and add faith in our prayers. If Christians worldwide did this it would cause an instant revival. So the way He teaches us to pray is not different from His well known and quoted axiom in Matt 6:33 -- "But seek first God's Kingdom and righteousness, then all these other things (unbelievers anxiously pursue, Matt 6:32, which things Your Father already knows you need and the only things many people only talk to God about) will be added unto you." In a way, Jesus is saying, "Remember Who God is (Holy Father), ask Him that He'd be made known correctly, remember and pray for the spread of His Kingdom and all it stands for and ultimately arrive at My 2nd Coming, and ask that His will be known and done gladly, as the angels who gladly do His bidding, Ps 103:20, and as I obeyed God until death on the cross, Phil 2:8 -- fellowship with Us in prayer First --=-> then we can descend to the pressing needs that The Father and I already know you need -- We just want you to deal with Us in terms of who We are in the reality of this relationship first, or else human nature makes yourself the center of the universe and merely prays for your own honor, your own kingdom and what you want on earth, often in an anxious manner, as if We were not in control of the Heaven and Earth and without real 'faith and patience,' which are needed to inherit the promises," Heb 6:12. Thank You in Jesus' Name.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We hear your heartfelt reflection on the Lord’s Prayer and the profound wisdom it holds for our walk with Christ. You rightly emphasize the priority of seeking God’s Kingdom, His will, and His glory above all else, just as Jesus taught in Matthew 6:33: *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."* This is not merely a suggestion but a divine order—one that aligns our hearts with heaven’s purposes and releases God’s provision, protection, and peace in ways we could never orchestrate on our own.

Your observation about the danger of making prayer self-centered is deeply convicting. When we rush into petitions for our needs without first exalting the Father’s name, surrendering to His will, and longing for His Kingdom, we risk reducing prayer to a transaction rather than a sacred communion. The Lord’s Prayer is a template for humility, reminding us that our first cry should be, *"Hallowed be Your name,"* not *"Give me what I want."* How often do we treat God like a cosmic vending machine rather than the Holy Sovereign of the universe? Yet He invites us to approach Him as our Father—intimate, yet reverent; needy, yet trusting.

You also highlight the connection between this prayer and Christ’s obedience unto death (Philippians 2:8). What a powerful reminder that our prayers are not just words but participation in the redemptive work of the Trinity. When we pray, *"Your will be done,"* we are echoing Jesus’ own surrender in Gethsemane (Matthew 26:39). This is not passive resignation but active alignment with the heart of the One who said, *"Not my will, but yours be done."* Such prayers require faith and patience (Hebrews 6:12), for God’s timing and ways often defy our understanding. Yet His promises are sure, and His Kingdom is advancing—even when we cannot see it.

Let us pray together in this spirit:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You in awe of Your holiness and majesty. Forgive us for the times we have rushed into prayer with our lists of demands, forgetting to first exalt Your name, long for Your Kingdom, and surrender to Your will. Teach us to pray as Jesus taught us—with hearts that beat in rhythm with Yours. May Your name be hallowed in our lives, our families, our churches, and our nations. Let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, where angels obey You with joy. We confess our anxiety over provision, relationships, and protection, but we choose to trust You, knowing You already know our needs. Help us to seek You first, not as a means to an end, but as the end itself—the greatest treasure of our hearts. Revive us, Lord, with a fresh hunger for Your presence and a boldness to pray as You commanded. May our lives reflect the reality of Your Kingdom, and may we walk in the faith and patience that inherit Your promises. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King. Amen.*

To those reading this: If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to consider the words of Acts 4:12: *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and it is only through His name that we have access to God in prayer. If you feel the Holy Spirit drawing you to repentance and faith, do not delay. Confess your sins, believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and receive the gift of eternal life. Then, join us in praying as He taught us—with hearts set on His glory, His Kingdom, and His will.

We echo your heartfelt plea, dear friend, as we too yearn for God's Kingdom to come and His will to be done, both in our lives and across the globe. Let's remember Jesus' words, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:5)

As we seek God's Kingdom first, let's also ask for His strength to remain in Him, abiding in His love and obeying His commands. This will help us bear the fruit of righteousness, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Father, we come before You, desiring Your Kingdom above all else. Help us to remain in Jesus, bearing much fruit for Your glory. As we seek Your Kingdom, we also ask for our daily needs: provision, protection, and relationships. Help us to trust in Your goodness and timing, knowing that You already know our needs. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Have we ever really meditated on Matthew 6 where Jesus instructs us to take no thought for our lives? I have looked at this in terms of the rest of the Bible where I have learned to claim His Promises in Jesus and take on His thoughts for my life. Thank You Lord Jesus for Blessing me to learn to stop thinking about my life, learn to take on Your thoughts for my life and so much more for Your Glory and my good in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

Are you watching for Jesus in the Clouds of Glory? Jesus is about to call us to join Him!

We can do everything Jesus did and more! We can speak; sickness leave in Jesus! Be healed by Jesus stripes! I am healed by Jesus stripes! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

You can copy and paste this to pray every day and share...

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad except our thoughts about what is happening to us. The Bible says All things work together for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life from Matthew 6. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. My wife returned. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus! All things work together for my good in Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
