Jesus said, "Pray in this way: āOur Father in Heaven, Your Name be honored. Your Kingdom come. Your Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, forever, Amen.ā" Matt 6:9-13. This prayer Jesus gave teaches us: 1) Actually ask God for His Glory, 2) What Order to Ask (Think priority level here) Before we ask for our earthly needs and concerns, but to also ask Him for His Name to be known, His Kingdom to expand and ultimately arrive, and for His Will to be known and done in our lives, in our families, churches, nations, the world. To ask for these things not only like we pray for our needs, but in to place God's Priorities Higher Than to our own needs. This one realization alone would help God reign more powerfully in our lives and add faith in our prayers. If Christians worldwide did this it would cause an instant revival. So the way He teaches us to pray is not different from His well known and quoted axiom in Matt 6:33 -- "But seek first God's Kingdom and righteousness, then all these other things (unbelievers anxiously pursue, Matt 6:32, which things Your Father already knows you need and the only things many people only talk to God about) will be added unto you." In a way, Jesus is saying, "Remember Who God is (Holy Father), ask Him that He'd be made known correctly, remember and pray for the spread of His Kingdom and all it stands for and ultimately arrive at My 2nd Coming, and ask that His will be known and done gladly, as the angels who gladly do His bidding, Ps 103:20, and as I obeyed God until death on the cross, Phil 2:8 -- fellowship with Us in prayer First --=-> then we can descend to the pressing needs that The Father and I already know you need -- We just want you to deal with Us in terms of who We are in the reality of this relationship first, or else human nature makes yourself the center of the universe and merely prays for your own honor, your own kingdom and what you want on earth, often in an anxious manner, as if We were not in control of the Heaven and Earth and without real 'faith and patience,' which are needed to inherit the promises," Heb 6:12. Thank You in Jesus' Name.
