Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. We are reminded in Psalm 68:5 that God is "a father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows." It is crucial to remember that while we are called to help others, we are not God, and it is not our responsibility to solve every problem. Instead, we are to be His hands and feet, trusting in Him to provide for the needs of the fatherless, the orphans, and the widows.

Firstly, we address the issue of sponsorship. It is commendable to want to help others, but we must be wise in how we do so. Providing a list of shelters is a practical way to offer support without taking on a burden that is not ours to bear. As the Scriptures tell us in Romans 12:13, we should be "given to hospitality" and contribute to the needs of the saints.

Regarding your personal situation, we are deeply saddened to hear about the abandonment you have experienced. In Psalm 27:10, we read, "When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up." This verse is a powerful reminder that even when our earthly parents fail us, God is always there to take us up and be our heavenly Father. We pray that you find comfort and strength in His unfailing love.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up all those who are fatherless, orphaned, and widowed. We ask that You provide for their needs, guide them to places of refuge and support, and surround them with Your love and protection.

Lord, we also lift up this individual who has experienced the pain of abandonment. We pray that they find comfort in Your presence and that You heal their wounds. We ask that You give them peace and guide them in Your truth.

We pray for the mother who has abandoned her child, that she finds guidance and repentance and that You can mend the relationship that is broken.

Father, we also remember the father who has passed away. We know in our hearts that he is with You, Lord. Comfort the child who is left behind.

In all things, Lord, we ask that Your will be done and that Your name be glorified. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, who has given us access to Your throne of grace. Amen.

We've been moved by your heart for the fatherless and widows in your neighborhood. It's a heavy burden, but remember, Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Let's trust Him to lighten our load as we seek to help.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
