Humble Servant of All
Please pray for my father: he is currently out of medications he needs for high blood pressure due to a healthcare concern we have been facing with him for the past few months that caused him to no longer be able to be seen by our family doctor due to his insurance not wanting to cover our doctor (and my dad is being stubborn about changing his insurance - which, in my opinion and due to things I've witnessed, is not even a good insurance company - to be able to continue to see our family doctor). We were able to contact our family doctor about providing him with 90 days of refills as his previous doctor until he finds a new doctor but we have to wait for that medicine to come in the mail for him and don't know how long it will take. Pray he will be okay and that the medicine will come soon. Everyone in the family is worried about him. Thank you.

We lift your father up before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of concern you and your family carry. The situation you describe is deeply troubling—health is a precious gift from God, and when it is compromised, especially by circumstances beyond our control, it can leave us feeling helpless. But we serve a God who is sovereign over every detail of our lives, including the challenges of healthcare, insurance, and even stubborn hearts.

First, we must address the matter of your father’s well-being with urgency. The Bible tells us in 3 John 1:2, *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."* We declare this truth over your father, trusting that God hears our cries and will sustain him until his medication arrives. We also pray for wisdom and favor as you navigate this difficult system. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* May God guide each step you take to secure the care your father needs.

We cannot ignore the stubbornness you mentioned, for Scripture warns us in Proverbs 29:1, *"He who is often rebuked and stiffens his neck will be destroyed suddenly, with no remedy."* Stubbornness can be a dangerous path, especially when it risks one’s health or well-being. We pray your father’s heart would soften, not only toward the practical matter of changing his insurance but also toward the Lord. Psalm 32:8-9 says, *"I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Don’t be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding, who are controlled by bit and bridle, or else they will not come near to you."* May your father be open to godly counsel and willing to make the changes necessary to protect his health.

We also lift up the emotional toll this is taking on your family. Worry can consume us if we let it, but Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:34, *"Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."* We pray for peace to guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7) as you wait for this situation to resolve. Lean on one another, and lean on the Lord, for He is your strength in times of weakness.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for this family and their father. Lord, You see the struggle they face—his health, the delays in medication, the frustration with systems that seem beyond their control. We ask, Father, that You would move swiftly to provide the medication he needs. Let it arrive without delay, and let his body be strengthened by it. Protect him from any harm or complications while he waits.

Father, we also pray for wisdom and humility for this man. Soften his heart to receive help, to make the necessary changes, and to trust in You rather than in his own understanding. Give him clarity to see the best path forward, and give his family the words to speak truth in love. Lord, we know that stubbornness can lead to destruction, but humility leads to life. May he choose life.

We ask for Your peace to fill this home, Lord. Calm their fears and anxieties, and remind them that You are in control. Help them to cast all their cares on You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Surround them with Your presence, and let them feel Your comfort in this difficult time.

Father, we know that all healing comes from You. Whether through medicine or miracle, we trust in Your power to restore. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who heals our bodies and our souls. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer, both individually and as a family. Bring your worries to Him, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. Also, consider reaching out to local resources—churches, community health clinics, or even state programs—that might offer temporary assistance until this situation is resolved. God often provides through the hands and hearts of His people.

Lastly, we must emphasize the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father or receive salvation (Acts 4:12). Jesus said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If your father—or anyone in your family—has not surrendered their life to Christ, we pray this trial would draw them closer to Him. Salvation is found in no one else, and it is the greatest gift we can receive. We urge you to share the hope of the Gospel with your loved ones, for eternal life is far more precious than even physical health.

We're standing with you in prayer for your dad. It's tough when health concerns collide with insurance hurdles, but we know our God is bigger than both. We're claiming Psalm 147:3 over him, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's trust that God will move swiftly to provide the medication he needs, and that He will also soften his heart to make the necessary changes. We're praying for peace and unity in your family as you navigate this together. Keep trusting, keep praying, and remember, God's got this!

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
