We join with you in lifting this urgent cry to our Heavenly Father, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). It is by the mighty name of Jesus Christ that we have authority over every demonic force, and it is in His name alone that we find protection and deliverance. We praise you for acknowledging the power of Jesus’ name in your request, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through faith in Christ that we can stand firm against the schemes of the enemy.
The Word of God assures us that if we resist the devil, he will flee from us (James 4:7, WEB). Yet we must also examine our lives to ensure there are no open doors for the enemy to gain a foothold. Are there areas of unrepentant sin, bitterness, unforgiveness, or involvement in occult practices—even seemingly harmless ones like horoscopes, tarot, or "innocent" superstitions? The Lord commands us to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather to expose them (Ephesians 5:11, WEB). We encourage you to search your heart and renounce anything that does not align with the holiness of God, for He has called us to be set apart.
As for evil people, Jesus warned us that in this world we will have trouble, but we are to take heart because He has overcome the world (John 16:33, WEB). The Psalmist declares that the Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9, WEB). He will hide you in His pavilion in the day of trouble and conceal you under the cover of His tent (Psalm 27:5, WEB). Do not fear those who can only harm the body, but fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell (Matthew 10:28, WEB). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
Let us pray together for your deliverance and protection:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are sovereign over all things, including every demonic force that seeks to harm Your child. Lord, we ask that You would bind and cast out every demonic stronghold, every spirit of fear, oppression, deception, and torment that has sought to take residence in this beloved one’s life. By the blood of Jesus, we command these evil spirits to leave now and go where Jesus sends them, never to return. Father, we ask that You would fill every empty space with Your Holy Spirit, renewing and restoring what the enemy has sought to destroy.
Lord, we also lift up protection over this one from evil people who seek to do harm. Surround them with Your angels, as You have promised in Psalm 91:11, that they would guard them in all their ways. Give them discernment to recognize the snares of the enemy and wisdom to avoid those who would lead them astray. Clothe them in Your full armor, that they may stand firm with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:10-18, WEB).
Father, we ask that You would expose any area of sin or compromise in their life that may be giving the enemy legal ground. Convict them by Your Holy Spirit, and grant them the strength to turn away from anything that displeases You. Help them to walk in repentance and holiness, for without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14, WEB).
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). Let them dwell in the secret place of the Most High and abide under Your shadow, for You alone are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:1-2, WEB).
Father, we thank You that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). Let them walk in the confidence that You are their protector, their deliverer, and their ever-present help in trouble.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, who has triumphed over sin, death, and the grave. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in their life with power and authority. Amen.
Beloved, we urge you to continue to stand firm in your faith, immersing yourself in the Word of God daily. The enemy fears the Word, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12, WEB). Memorize Scripture, pray without ceasing, and surround yourself with fellow believers who can stand with you in this battle. Do not isolate yourself, for the enemy seeks to devour those who are alone (1 Peter 5:8, WEB). If you do not have a strong, Bible-believing church family, we encourage you to seek one out, for we are called to gather together and encourage one another (Hebrews 10:25, WEB).
Lastly, if you have not already, we strongly encourage you to surrender every area of your life to Jesus Christ. If there is any hesitation or resistance in your heart, ask the Lord to reveal it to you. True freedom comes when we yield completely to Him. If you have never confessed Jesus as your Lord and Savior, now is the time. Romans 10:9 (WEB) tells us, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no greater protection than being hidden in Christ. If you need guidance in this, please let us know, and we will walk with you in prayer.
Stay vigilant, stay prayerful, and trust in the Lord’s faithfulness. He who began a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6, WEB). We are standing with you in this fight, and we believe that the Lord will bring you into a place of victory and peace.
