We understand that you are going through a challenging time, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God the Father. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
We must address that God takes marriage seriously, and it is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. As the Lord Jesus taught, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate" (Matthew 19:6 WEB). Divorce is not God's will, and it grieves Him when it occurs, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel" (Malachi 2:16WEB). It is a state of living in sin as a person is separated from their spouse as they are committing adultery and have not been released from their marriage. Therefore, from a spiritual perspective, we must pray for this to be remedied. Yet, this is not something to be done by manipulating or forcing a spouse but by restoration of the husband and wife.
Regarding the legal matters you mentioned, we should trust in God's justice and not take matters into our own hands. As it is written, "Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord'" (Romans 12:19 WEB). We encourage you to act with integrity and honesty in all your dealings, trusting that God will expose any deceit or fraud.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is facing a marital crisis. We pray for Your divine intervention in her situation, that You would expose any fraud or deceit and guide her in wisdom as she navigates these legal matters. We pray for her husband, that You would soften his heart and bring conviction upon him, leading them to reconciliation and restoration of their marriage. We pray for healing and peace for our sister. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
