We join you in bringing this heavy burden before our Father and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. We hear how exhausted you are in body and mind, how every simple task like riding the bus, walking, reading complex forms, and meeting a deadline costs you so much more than it would for others, and how discouraging it is to face a hearing alone when no law firm will take your complex case. We want you to know that you are not alone and that our Father sees every poke, every sleepless night, every moment when words go poof and your brain stalls.

We are encouraged that you have turned to the best advocate of all. Scripture reminds us, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. And also, He gives power to the faint. To him who has no might he increases strength Isaiah 40:29. When we are weak, He is strong, for My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9. So we do not have to rely on our own limited energy or understanding.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up Your child to You. You know the injuries, the thyroid cancer that wrecked havoc for decades, the writing and math disability, the brain that struggles, and the body that does not recover like others and feels like it is paying high interest to loan sharks for every bit of energy borrowed. Lord, You are the One who heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3, and we ask for Your healing touch and sustaining mercy. Give wisdom beyond what is natural to understand those complex forms and to meet every deadline with clarity. When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I Psalm 61:2. We ask for supernatural cognitive strength, for words to come, for focus to remain, and for rest that truly restores. Father, we ask for favor in this hearing process, that truth would be seen and that justice would be done even without an earthly lawyer, because we know You are our advocate and defender. We ask for Your hand over the lab appointment next week, that the blood draw would go smoothly, that the technicians would have skill, and that the results would give the endocrinologist exactly what is needed. Renew strength day by day, so that even though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day 2 Corinthians 4:16. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep leaning on Him as your wisdom and strength, and to not be afraid to ask for the accommodations you are entitled to because of your disabilities. If possible, ask for help with reading the forms, whether from your sister, a trusted pastor, a church advocate, or a local disability aid office, to ask for an extension or assistance in understanding deadlines due to your documented cognitive and physical limitations. Pace yourself as much as you can, allow your body the extra days it needs to recover without guilt, for the Lord knows our frame, He remembers that we are dust Psalm 103:14, and He does not despise our weakness. Keep bringing every worry to Him in prayer, and trust that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to carry it through. We are standing with you, asking God to be your energy, your wisdom, your lawyer, and your rest in the weeks ahead.

We hear how much you are carrying right now. A hearing with complex forms and a deadline, a body that needs weeks to recover from two days on the bus and a long walk home, plus writing and math that take so much extra work, and thyroid cancer that has taken a toll for years. The lab day with all those pokes and no blood to show for it, and then facing the hearing alone after firms said no, that is a lot to hold while you wake up already drained.

We love how you put it, that when no one else will stand with you, you have the best advocate in Him. We are praying with you for clear thinking, wisdom for each form, and strength for each step.

A few gentle ideas that might make the next week a little more manageable:

For the paperwork, try short timed blocks with rest in between, and ask your sister or another trusted person to read through the forms with you and check what you write. If you are able, call the hearing office to confirm the exact deadline in writing and ask what help or accommodations are available for completing complex forms with a disability.

For the labs, let the clinic know ahead of time about the hard sticks and ask how they recommend you prepare. If you can, keep the day after open to rest, and keep your endocrinologist and primary care updated on how wiped out the travel leaves you, alongside prayer.

Father, we lift our friend to You. You see the fatigue, the pain, and how hard it is to think and write and keep going. Give daily wisdom, steadier energy, and kind help for each form and appointment. Provide rest and guard their body in the days ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we bring it with you to the throne of grace, where our Lord waits to be gracious.

You have described well the heavy burden you carry, a body that does not recover as others do, as though energy were lent by loan sharks at high interest, a mind that stalls and loses words, the toil of complex forms and deadlines, the weariness that can last for days and weeks and months after a simple journey, and now the trial of the hearing process and the sore disappointment of labs that could not be drawn after being poked in many places. To wake each day physically and mentally drained is a great affliction, and we do not make light of it.

Wisdom is man's true path, the compass by which he is to steer across the trackless waste of life, yet where shall this wisdom be found. No mention shall be made of coral or of pearls, for the price of wisdom is above rubies. Scripture answers that Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. He planned the way of salvation and He laid the foundations of all things by His skill and wisdom, and in Him is a fullness of comfort in affliction and a fullness of guidance in prosperity, a fullness of every divine attribute, of wisdom, of power, of love. When you feel your emptiness more than ever, then you will set the most store upon His abounding toward us in all wisdom and prudence. What you need for these forms, for understanding, for remembering and writing and reckoning, is not found in your own strength, for that way is the opposite of wisdom, but in Him who knew what was in man and who still knows your frame.

He also knows what it is to endure contradiction and weariness. There is a halo round about our griefs since Jesus Christ endured them first. He endured with singular courage and holy equanimity, and the dignity of the Savior has invested brave endurance with great honor and glory. He is not distant from your labors on the bus, your walking, your waiting rooms, your sleepless nights. He who bowed His head to death, even the death of the cross, that justice might be satisfied and grace might be treasured up in Him, now lives to be your storehouse of treasures of wisdom and knowledge and grace.

So we pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone salvation is found and through whom alone we come to the Father.

Father, look upon Your child in much weakness and need. Grant wisdom that is from above for every form and deadline, clarity where the mind stalls, steadiness for writing and for numbers, and understanding to do what is required in the hearing process. Grant energy and cognitive strength according to Your mercy, and sustain the body that has borne so much through thyroid cancer and lasting injury. Give recovery after effort, give favor for the labs that must be drawn again, and give guidance to the physicians. Where no man will take up the cause, be Yourself the advocate and helper, for You do what is always best and Your will ought to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Let Your power be made perfect in weakness, and keep this dear soul in patient endurance and diligent labor, aglow still with faith and gratitude. We ask this trusting not in our own wisdom but in Christ, who is our wisdom and our fullness, in whose name we pray, Amen.
