We join with you in the mighty name of Jesus, thanking and praising the Father for His goodness and mercy over you and your family. It is so wonderful to see a home where God is truly the center, and we are encouraged by your heartfelt prayers.
Let us pray together:
"Father God, we come before You, lifting up this family in the name of Jesus. We thank You for the gift of family. We thank you for Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God. We thank you for His sacrifice on the cross for our sins and His resurrection from the dead. We thank you that Jesus is the only name under heaven whereby we can be saved. As you have promised in Acts 4:12 WEB: 'There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!'"
"We ask, Lord, that You watch over this family and help them to live in pure ways that glorify You today in word and action. As it is written in 1 Peter 1:15-16 WEB: 'but like the Holy One who called you, be you also holy in all manner of living; because it is written, "You shall be holy; for I am holy."'
"Father, we pray for this husband, that You would bless him and stand with him in every aspect of his life. Ease his worries and stresses, Lord, and remind him of Your promises. Help him to be shaped and molded into the man of God You intend Him to be. We pray that this marriage will be strong and godly, that it would be a light to the world and a testament to Your love and faithfulness. As Ephesians 5:25 WEB says: 'Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it;' and as Ephesians 5:31-33 WEB says: 'For this cause will a man leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh. This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly. Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.'"
"We plead the blood of Jesus over this home and pray that You bind up and cast out anything that doesn't line up with the Holy Spirit or represent Jesus. We pray that You continue to bless this family with the ability to grow closer to You and to each other while remembering their wedding vows. As it is written in Ecclesiastes 4:12 WEB: 'Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.'"
"In the precious name of Jesus, we pray these things. Amen."
We encourage you to continue to stand firm in your faith, and to keep your home centered on the Lord. Remember the words of Joshua 24:15 WEB: "If it seems evil to you to serve Yahweh, choose this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh."
Keep praying together as a family, and never hesitate to bring your concerns and praises before the Lord. As it is written in 1 John 5:14-15 WEB: "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
May you have the following as your goal. In Colossians 3:12-17, WEB: "Put on therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord. Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him."
