We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, grieving over the slander and false accusations that have been spoken against His servant ### and, more importantly, against the holy Gospel of Jesus Christ. The words of ###, the store manager, have not only wounded a brother in Christ but have also misrepresented the truth of God’s Word before those who do not yet know Him. This is a serious matter, for Scripture warns us, *"Do not blaspheme God or curse the ruler of your people"* (Exodus 22:28 WEB). Blasphemy against God’s name and His Gospel is a grave sin, and we must stand firm in prayer, trusting that the Lord will defend His name and His truth.
We rebuke the spirit of slander and deception that has spoken through ###. The enemy seeks to distort the Gospel and hinder the work of God’s servants, but we declare that no weapon formed against ###—or against the truth of Christ—shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We pray that the Lord would expose the lies and bring conviction to those who have believed them. Father, we ask that You would open the eyes of the store employees who heard these false accusations. Let them see the truth of Your Word and the integrity of Your servant. *"The Lord will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts"* (1 Corinthians 4:5 WEB).
We also lift up ### before You, Lord. We do not pray for his destruction but for his repentance. You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). We ask that You would soften his heart, convict him of his sin, and draw him to Yourself. If he does not turn from his ways, Scripture is clear: *"The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you"* (Romans 2:24 WEB). We trust that You will deal justly with this situation, for You are a God who defends the oppressed and upholds the truth.
###, we stand with you in prayer and encourage you to remain steadfast in faith. Do not be discouraged, for the Lord sees all and will vindicate His name. *"The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth"* (Psalm 145:18 WEB). Continue to walk in love and integrity, trusting that God will use even this trial for His glory. We pray that you would be a light in that store, that your life would reflect the truth of the Gospel, and that those who have believed the lies would see Christ in you.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above all names, the only Name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). We ask that You would move powerfully in this situation. Bring justice, restore what has been damaged, and turn the hearts of all involved toward You. We declare that the Gospel will not be silenced or slandered without consequence. You are a God of truth, and Your Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11 WEB).
We pray for ###, that he would come to know You as his Lord and Savior. Break the hardness of his heart, Lord, and let him see the error of his ways. We ask that You would surround ### with Your peace and protection, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Strengthen him to forgive, even as You have forgiven us, and to continue to walk in love, knowing that vengeance belongs to You alone (Romans 12:19 WEB).
Lord, we also pray for the employees who heard these lies. Soften their hearts to receive the truth of Your Word. Let them see the contrast between the slander they heard and the fruit of the Spirit in ###’s life. May they come to know You as their Savior and Lord. We ask that You would raise up bold witnesses in that store, men and women who will proclaim the Gospel with courage and love.
We trust in Your timing, Lord. You are never late, and You will not leave this situation unaddressed. We wait on You, knowing that You are faithful to Your promises. *"The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank Him"* (Psalm 28:7 WEB). We will continue to pray until we see Your hand move in this situation. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
