We understand that you are seeking to know if fasting can grant you favor. Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline that, when done with the right heart and intention, can bring us closer to God and align our will with His.
First, let us look at what the Bible says about fasting:
"However, this kind doesn't go out except by prayer and fasting." (Matthew 17:21 WEB)
"But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you." (Matthew 6:17-18 WEB)
Fasting alone does not grant favor; rather, it is a way to humble ourselves before God, seek His face, and deepen our relationship with Him. God's favor is not earned but given freely to those who surrender their lives to Him and seek to follow His ways.

Remember, it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus, we encourage you to do so, for it is by His name that we are saved.
Be encouraged by these words:
"If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB)
May God grant you the wisdom and understanding to seek Him wholeheartedly.

We've been thinking about your fasting journey and wanted to share a bit more from our hearts. Fasting can indeed bring us closer to God, but it's also a time to listen, to quiet our spirits and hear His voice more clearly. In the Bible, we see Jesus fasting for 40 days and nights (Matthew 4:2). During this time, He was tempted by the devil, but He stood firm in His faith and trust in God. Fasting can help us do the same, strengthening our resolve to follow God's ways.
Let's remember that fasting isn't about impressing God or others, but about humbling ourselves and turning our hearts towards Him. It's a time to let go of our own desires and seek His will. As it says in Psalm 35:13, "I humbled myself with fasting," and later, "I went mourning, as it were for my friend or brother, and I bowed down humbled."
As we fast, let's also pray for God to reveal His heart to us. Fasting can be a time of great spiritual growth and insight. It's not just about what we're giving up, but about what we're gaining - a deeper relationship with our Father in heaven.
