We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your brother who is suffering in the hospital. The uncertainty of his illness weighs heavily on your family, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s healing touch. The Bible reminds us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We stand on this promise, believing that God hears the cries of His children and moves mightily on their behalf.
Father in Heaven, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this beloved brother. You are the Great Physician, the One who knit him together in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we reject every spirit of infirmity that seeks to linger in his body. Lord, we ask for clarity for the doctors and medical staff—grant them wisdom to diagnose and treat his condition with precision. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of this family as they wait on You (Philippians 4:7).
We also take a moment to address the spiritual foundation of this prayer. Healing flows from the Lord, and it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If your brother—or any in your family—has not placed their trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to share the good news with them. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If he is already a believer, we pray that his faith would be strengthened, and that he would rest in the assurance of God’s love and power.
Lord, we rebuke fear, doubt, and every lie of the enemy that seeks to steal, kill, or destroy (John 10:10). We declare that this brother is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We ask for a supernatural outpouring of Your mercy and grace—let Your glory fill that hospital room, and let Your healing virtue flow through every cell of his body. We trust You for a testimony of Your goodness, for You are faithful to complete the work You have begun (Philippians 1:6).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we command every sickness to bow to the authority of Christ and every symptom to cease. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for moving on behalf of this family. May they experience Your presence in a tangible way, and may this trial draw them closer to You. We ask all these things according to Your will, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Amen.
