My Lord, somehow I seem to have lost count of the days I have been fasting. I remember iot started on a Tuesday four weeks ago. Anywyas this is not a contest, I made you a promise and I asked you to keep a promise to me, when this promise is honored by you, the fast will end.
Today is Valentine's Day, we celebrate love and friendship, why is there a special day to celebrate love and friendship?? This I do not understand, Jesus told us to love everyone like we love ourselves, but he did not say love your neighbor and your enemies on February 14th, he said LOVE THEM ALL THE TIME. He did not say honor and love your mother and father on Fathers Day or Mothers Day, he said do it all the time. Every day every moment, I have been blessed with my parents being alive until now, I am fifty years old and three or four years ago they celebrated their fifty wedding anniversary, they looked so in love, like the first time I met them, like the fifty years I have known them. My parents, Thank God are an example of true uncoditional love, a match made in heaven by God himself. Today my mother has Alzheimer's Desease, she is loosing all her memories and her life is vanishing in a cloud and my father refuses to let her go. He sits by her side, day after day talking to her, holding her hand, trying to keep the memories alive. I pray to God that when the time comes for her to join Our Father in heaven that soon after my father departs too, it would be selfish trying to hold him here after hisd only love has left, in heaven there is no Alzheimer's, there is only love and light. Many times she just stares into space, my daughter Victoria says that when her Nana is staring off into space, she is talking and chatting with an angel that God sent to visit her. Victoria says that her Nana talks with God because she has been so good she no longer needs to talk to us, she speaks directly with God and the angels.
Anyway, why celebrate something that should be celebrated every day, a flower, a smile, a thank you, these are simple things we can do every day to make a friend or a wife or husband happy. These are the little things in life that make relationships worthwhile, that make them grow and become lifelong friendships and loves. The small details, a touch, a shared tear, a few words of encouragement at the right time, a hug, a kiss, these are small miracles we can perform every day, God has given these to us so we can use them to make others feel better. Relationships are not made out of diamond rings and cars, houses and trips, they are made of the fun you had on the trip, on the laughs and chats you shared with this or that person. The times you came over and just held each other because there was no food to eat, the times you took the bus because you had no gas for your car, the times you shared a bottle of water because there was no money to buy two. The moment you held your first child in your arms and instead of asking the doctor if he or she was okay , You asked ""Is my wife okay?? When you bought your first couch and threw away the old thing you inherited from your parents, these are moments of celebration that live forever in our hearts and memories. For these, you do not need a special day to celebrate, life is a celebration of relationships and firendships. God made it is this way. We are supposed to have friends and families, we are supposed to like our neighbors and the guys in the buiding, this was meant to be. It is us, humans who have ruined it, with our petty fights and our petty ways, we are supposed to be generous, friendly, loving and caring. This is in our nature because God made us like that. When He brought Adan and Eve to paradise, he wanted them to live there and stay there forever, no worries, no jobs, no pain, just hanging out having fun ETERNALLY......
We messed it up and continue doing so. Take a look around you, look at those you relate with, touch your heart and go see that person you believe you hate, or you believe is hurting you and tell that person that you love him or her. Tell someone that you are sorry for being annoying and bad mouthed. Say you are sorry, say you want to change. Every journey starts with one small step, go ahead and try it, today is Valentine's Day, the day we celebrate love and friendship, I ask you, all you readers and prayer warriors, touch your hearts and minds, You know someone who is sufferibng, who feels lonely and rejected, you have some one you have not spoken to for a long time, you have a neighbor you do not like, I beg you go to them and say you are sorry, say you love them and care for them, say you will change if they help you to change. You know what ??? It feels good, it feels great and weight is lifted off your heart and your soul, you feel lighter and happier yourself and you make that person happier too. Go ahead and try it before the day is over, surprise someone SURPRISE THE LORD TOO!!! I did it and it feel great, go ahead and make Jesus and someone else happy. It takes nothing, you loose nothing, you gain a lot, here and in heaven. Try it if each one of us made friends with one person today or made peace with one person today, how many more people would have a happier Valentines Day, you do the math and make the angels sing in heaven.
Beware all those who are fighting and making efforts to come close to the Lord, to understand His ways and His Word for the dark one lurks and he is looking for ways to make you fall, to make you change your mind and your heart. It has been happening to me constantly for a few days, this is why I know that soon the fight will be over because with God's help and support with the protection of his blood, fierce angels and your prayers I have been able to stand him off. I feel that he is making his final efforts to throw me down, Lord Jesus do not permit this, Dear Jesus my home is Your castle and no one else is welcome here, Dear Jesus my body is your sactuary and no one else is welcome, that is why I COVER MYSELF WITH YOUR HOLY, PRECIOUS BLOOD and I ask the Holy Spirit to come upon me and my home to guard and protect us. May God's will be done today and forever. Thank you Jesus in You we trust. AMEN, ALELUYAH!!!!!!
