My Lord today is a great day, I have seen your miracles and your hands moving all day. I thank you Lord for I know that you stand besides me, that every minute in my life is blessed by you. DDear Jesus I am worried though, I keep coming upon people who are depressed asking for prayer to get rid of it. I wonder why they are depressed, no jobs, no money, no family, I believe each one of them has his own reason and explanation. The truth is Lord that I should be depressed and I should start smoking and I should start drinking and cussing, I should be in bed under the sheets depressed and crying, I do not have money, I do not have food, I do not have gas in my car, my kids are not going to school because we cant afford it and because they are looking for jobs to help us meet ends. I have not had work in a long time and they havent had it either, my little girl is wearing tight tennis shoes to school because I cant buy her new ones. Guess what,I am not depressed, I am not sad I am not hiding either or complaining, I am doing things, I am praying for my brothers and sisters, I am looking for a job, I am fighting, that is what it is all about, not to let go, not to be defeated, to believe in Our Lord's promises and His Word. Depression is one of the favorite weapons the devil is using in these modern times, in the 80's it was cocaine, in the 70's it was alcohol, in the 60's acid and pot, there is always something he is trying to use against us, to weaken our resolve, our hearts, our love for Jesus and His Ways.
The bottom line in this matter is that we have no reason to fall for this trick, for this feeling of desperation and fear, weakness that the devil puts in our hearts, The Good Book tells us that we have nothing to fear if we are with God, the Lord tells us that He will provide for our needs as long as we are faithful to him, if all this is true and we know it is true for even if we have not witnessed God's mercy and miracles we absolutely know someone who has first hand experience and information about them. I am not talking about the miracles in the Bible, I am talking about every day miracles people all over the world are touched with. We live in the age of communication, nothing is secret under the sun, today we do not need to feel inside Our Lord's wounds to believe; because we know they are there and we know that HE IS REAL AND THAT HE DELIVERS WHAT HE PROMISES TO DELIVER !!!! These are facts you can find thousands, millions of people online who in one way or another have been touched by God's hand, people who will and have testified to amazing miracles. They are there for you to see them, for you to search for them, jusr Google the word MIRACLES and you will find yourself before thousand of pages that lead to many many more testimonials and stories. If all this is true and all this happens every day, I do not understand why YOU DO NOT BELIEVE, WHY YOU HAVE NO FAITH, WHY YOU DO NOT TRUST YOUR LORD AND CREATOR?????
There is nothing to be depressed about, life is beautiful, if every thing was fun and games life would be boring, it would have no sense and no reason to be. Life's problems are meant to make us grow, to make us change, to make us appreciate God and his creation and love for us. When you have a problem, it does not matter what it is, what size it is or what this problem means to you or what consequences it will have you are not meant to be depressed and feel bad about everything and cry and suffer, NO, PROBLEMS ARE MEANT TO MAKE YOU WORK ON YOUR PATIENCE, ON YOUR FAITH. If today when you are feeling depressed and do not find a way out of your mess you would take a few minutes to kneel before your Lord and speak to him with your heart and not your head, if you would humble yourself to your true self, without the mask you wear every day, if you did this for a minute or so, just a minute out of your busy hectic day, you would feel a light breeze touch your face and you would hear God's voice saying, DO NOT WORRY I WILL TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING.Try it, it works, you cannot solve the problem anyway so what will you loose by giving Jesus a few minutes of your time, honest minutes, quality time, kneel before him, sit before him, stand before him, it does not really matter what you do or how you do it, what matters is that you touch your heart and open it up to him, admit that you are incapable of solving this or that, admit that you cannot handle this or that situation, tell him you are desperate, that you are afraid, that you feel lonely, talk to him , HE IS YOUR FATHER, what father wouldnot want the best for his children??
Talk to him from your heart and you will feel the weight lift, you will see the sun shine through, you will see the so called depression vanish into thin air, for he is your God, your Father, and your Lord, He has promised to help you when you are in trouble, he has promised to protect you when you are afraid, he is always with you when you feel alone, he will cure your wounds and caress your heart and soul. HE IS HERE, WITH YOU NOW, BESIDES YOU, CLOSE YOUR EYES AND FEEL HIS LOVE AND WARMTH, LET HIM CARRY YOUR BURDENS, YOUR PAIN, YOUR SORROW, HE WILL TURN THEM INTO HOPE AND HAPPINESS.
