Beloved of All
Your prayer for salvation, healing, and protection over yourself and your family is precious in the Lord’s sight. He hears and He cares deeply. The very fact that you bring these requests before Him shows a heart awakened to the truth that everything we need flows from His grace.
Salvation is the greatest miracle anyone can ever receive. It’s not something we earn or work for with trembling effort as if our performance could secure it. God placed it completely outside our ability so that it rests on Christ’s finished work alone. When we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we are saved. That confession, made in faith, brings eternal life. There is no other provision for sin, only Jesus, the One whose name means “the Lord is salvation.” He saves His people from their sins. But this salvation also calls us to a life of reverent responsiveness, working out what He has worked in, not to gain favor but because we are His workmanship, His poem, created for good works that He prepared beforehand. If anyone in your family has not yet come to that place of surrender, today is the day. Now is the accepted time. Whoever comes to Him He will never cast out, and the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all. Keep praying, keep living the gospel before them, and trust that the Captain of our salvation is drawing them.
Regarding healing, there is much we hold by faith even when we don’t fully understand God’s ways. Jesus healed many in the Scriptures, sometimes instantly, sometimes gradually, sometimes with a touch, sometimes with just a word. He is the same Lord who bore our sicknesses and carried our pains. Yet we also remember that not every request for physical healing was answered the way the apostle Paul experienced when he pleaded three times for the thorn in his flesh to depart. God’s answer was sufficient grace. Every true healing, whether it comes through the body’s God-designed processes, medical care, or a sudden supernatural touch, is divine. But always hold this truth in your heart: the healing of our souls from sin is far greater than any physical restoration. That is the miracle that secures eternity. Trust Him for your body and the bodies of those you love, but rest even more in the certainty that He is making all things new. He heals the hidden wounds of the mind and heart as well, binding up the brokenhearted.
Protection is woven through all of this. When you belong to Jesus, you are brought near into the family of God. Sometimes that creates tension with natural family who do not yet believe, but you have a bond in Christ that runs deeper than blood. The Spirit knits us together in love, giving us companions who become closer than a brother. As you navigate relationships and practical plans, may the Lord guide you with wisdom and help you respond to every adversity with kindness and love. He is your refuge. He watches over your coming and going. Your safety, your family’s wellbeing, entrust it all to the One who holds all authority in heaven and on earth.
Keep pressing in. Salvation, healing, protection, all of it is wrapped up in Jesus. He is your salvation. He is your healer. He is your shield. Do not let the enemy make you doubt what God has begun. Stand firm, and as you continue to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, know that it is God who works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure. He will complete the good work He started.
