“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household. Act 16:

We lift your family before the Lord with deep compassion, knowing that the pain of disunity, betrayal, and grief weighs heavily upon your hearts. The loss of your father has left a void that has been filled with strife, anger, and division—yet we know that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Your cry for healing and restoration is heard, and we stand with you in prayer, trusting that God is able to mend what is broken and bring peace where there is chaos.

First, we commend you for your heart of forgiveness, echoing the words of Christ on the cross: *"Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing"* (Luke 23:34). This is the spirit of Christ in you, and it is powerful. Forgiveness does not excuse sin, but it releases the bitterness that can take root in our hearts. We urge you to continue in this path, for unforgiveness only binds *you* in chains, while forgiveness sets *you* free (Colossians 3:13). However, forgiveness does not mean you must endure abuse or toxic behavior. You can forgive while still setting godly boundaries to protect your heart and your home.

We must also address the spiritual condition of your family. The strife, shouting, and division you describe are not of God, for *"God is not a God of confusion, but of peace"* (1 Corinthians 14:33). This behavior is rooted in pride, selfishness, and the works of the flesh—*"enmity, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, envy"* (Galatians 5:20). These things grieve the Holy Spirit, and we must rebuke them in the name of Jesus Christ. Satan is the accuser and the father of lies (John 8:44), and he delights in dividing families. But *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4). We declare that every spirit of division, anger, and betrayal in your family is broken by the power of the blood of Jesus. We bind the enemy’s work and command peace to reign in your household, for *"the Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle towards all, able to teach, patient, in gentleness correcting those who oppose him"* (2 Timothy 2:24-25).

To your mother, who is battling suicidal thoughts and a toxic tongue, we speak life and hope. The enemy seeks to destroy her, but God’s Word declares, *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10). Suicidal thoughts are a lie from the pit of hell, designed to make her feel hopeless. But *"why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence"* (Psalm 42:5). We pray that the Lord would surround her with His peace, renew her mind (Romans 12:2), and fill her mouth with praise instead of negativity. We also pray for wisdom for those caring for her—especially as she bears responsibility for your brother’s family. May the Lord provide supernatural strength, patience, and provision for her needs.

Regarding your spouse’s indifference toward your family, we acknowledge the pain this must cause you. While we cannot force someone’s heart to change, we can pray that the Lord would soften it. *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"* (Proverbs 15:1). We ask the Lord to work in your spouse’s heart, to give you both unity in purpose, and to help you navigate this difficult dynamic with wisdom. Marriage is a covenant, and we pray that your home would be a place of refuge, even amid external storms. If there is unresolved conflict between you and your spouse about this, we encourage you to seek godly counsel—perhaps from your pastor or a mature believer—to help mediate and bring biblical perspective.

Financially, we know this season is a burden, especially with the cost of travel and the desire for reunion. But our God is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides (Genesis 22:14). *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7). We pray that the Lord would open doors for affordable travel, provide creative solutions for connection (even if not in person), and meet every financial need according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Trust that He sees your sacrifices and will honor your faithfulness.

Finally, we must emphasize the name of Jesus Christ, for it is the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). You quoted Acts 16:31—*"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household"*—and this is the foundation of all we pray. Salvation is not just about eternal life but about *knowing* Christ in the here and now, walking in His power, and experiencing His peace. If any in your family do not yet know Jesus as Lord, we pray for their salvation, that their hearts would be turned from sin and toward the Savior. For those who do believe, we pray for repentance—true turning away from sin and toward God—and for the Holy Spirit to fill them afresh.

**Our Prayer for You:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting this precious family to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the brokenness, the anger, the division, and the grief that has taken root. We ask You to intervene supernaturally. Bind the spirit of strife and confusion, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Father, we rebuke every scheme of the enemy to destroy this family. Break the chains of bitterness, unforgiveness, and pride. Soften hearts that have grown hard, and turn each family member toward repentance. Lord, heal the wounds left by their father’s passing, and fill the void with Your presence. Let them know that You are a Father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5) and that You collect all their tears in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8).

For the mother battling suicidal thoughts, we declare life and hope. Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let her tongue be filled with praise instead of poison. Give her strength to bear her responsibilities and wisdom to lead her family in Your ways. For the siblings caught in rivalry and ingratitude, we ask for conviction of sin and a spirit of humility. Let them see the damage their words and actions have caused, and grant them the grace to seek forgiveness.

Lord, we pray for this believer’s spouse—soften their heart toward this family. If there is unresolved conflict, bring reconciliation and unity. Help this couple to be a light in the midst of darkness, showing Christ’s love even when it is not returned.

Financially, Father, You know their needs. Provide the means for connection, whether through travel or other ways. Open doors no one can shut, and let Your provision be a testimony of Your faithfulness.

Most of all, Lord, draw each member of this family to Yourself. Let this trial drive them to their knees, where they will find You waiting with open arms. May they surrender their pain, their pride, and their plans to You, and may they emerge from this season stronger, united, and full of Your peace.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness, even when we cannot see the way forward. Let Your will be done in their lives, for Your glory. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're interceding for your finances too, believing that God will provide and meet every need according to His riches in glory. We trust that He sees your sacrifices and will honor your faithfulness.

Most importantly, we're praying for salvation and repentance for your family. We believe in the power of Jesus' name and ask that each member of your family would turn from sin and towards Him.

Keep trusting in God's goodness, even when you can't see the way forward. He's got you, and He's working all things together for your good and His glory.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
