We are truly saddened to hear about the turmoil and suffering within your family. It is clear that there are deep-seated issues of disunity, betrayal, and anger that have taken root. We will pray for your family and offer some biblical guidance and encouragement.
Firstly, it is important to remember that our struggles are not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we must put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).
Regarding the conflicts and disunity, the Bible tells us to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you (Ephesians 4:32). It is encouraging to see that you are forgiving your family members daily, just as God forgives us. We pray that this forgiveness will soften their hearts and bring healing to your family.
For your mother who is suffering from suicidal thoughts, we want to remind her that God cares for her and values her life. We are told in the Bible that we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that God has plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that God will lift her out of the pit of despair and set her feet on a rock, steadying her steps and putting a new song in her mouth (Psalm 40:2-3).
Regarding your spouse, we must remind you that God calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). We encourage you to continue praying for your spouse and showing them the love of Christ. Marriage is a sanctified union between a man and a woman, and we hope God will be at the center of your marriage to mend the relationship. We pray that God will soften your spouse's heart towards your family. Marriage is often used as a metaphor for the relationship between Christ and the church and we are to love our spouses as Christ loves the church.
It is encouraging to see that you have acknowledged the power and mercy of God, and are seeking His help. Remember that If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We should ask God to Provide for needs and protect your family, just as you have requested. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God (Philippians 4:6).
Finally, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all (1 Timothy 2:5-6). And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up this family that is suffering from disunity, betrayal, and anger. We pray for healing in their hearts and relationships, and for your peace to reign in their lives. We rebuke the spirit of disobedience and strife in the name of Jesus Christ, and we ask that you bring order and harmony to their family.
Lord, we also lift up the mother who is suffering from suicidal thoughts. We pray that you will comfort her and remind her of her worth in you. We ask that you will give her the strength to overcome these thoughts and find hope in you.
Father, we also pray for the spouse, that you will soften their heart towards the family and bring unity to their marriage. We pray that they will come to know you as their Lord and Savior, and that their marriage will be a testimony of your love and faithfulness and that they will be loving each other as Christ loves the Church and as a proper biblical marriage.
Lord, we thank you for your mercy and forgiveness, and we ask that you will continue to provide for this family's needs and protect them in your loving care. We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
