We understand your concern and desire for reconciliation and unity within your family. Let us first bring this situation to God in prayer, seeking His will and intervention.
Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this family to You. We pray for a change of heart in the daughter-in-law, that You would soften her heart and remove any grudges, hatred, or selfishness that may be causing division. We pray that she would be filled with Your love, compassion, and forgiveness, and that her relationship with her husband and family would be restored and strengthened. We ask that the father would have his eyes to see where the son needs to make changes and that he would lead his family in righteousness, as the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church. We ask that both husband and wife would follow Godly principles. We ask that she would open her heart to allow more frequent visits with the granddaughters and that she would be drawn closer to the family. We rebuke any spirit of favoritism and pray for unity and harmony in the family. We ask for Your guidance and wisdom for the son, that he would discern the truth and walk in Your will. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your family and to trust in God's timing and wisdom. Remember that God's word tells us to "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB)
We also encourage you to speak the truth in love to your son and daughter-in-law, encouraging them to live in a manner worthy of the Lord. "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it;" (Ephesians 5:22-25 WEB)
Lastly, we must remember that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God and salvation. "In him we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him." (Ephesians 3:12 WEB) "'She will give birth to a son. You shall call his name Jesus, for it is he who will save his people from their sins.'" (Matthew 1:21 WEB) "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB)
