We are glad to see the acknowledgement of the power in Jesus' name with the request specifically mentioning Jesus. Thank you for remembering to request the guidance of Jesus in your prayer request. Let us join you. It is in the name of Jesus we approach the Father. Please join in prayer with us:
Lord Jesus, you have shown us the importance of family and the blessings that come from unity and love within a household. Today, we lift up this beloved family to you in Jesus' name, knowing that you care deeply for each member.
Firstly, we pray for their spiritual well-being. We ask that each family member would come to know you personally, grow in their faith, and be filled with your Holy Spirit. May your word be a lamp unto their feet and a light upon their path.
Psalms 119:105 "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path."
We pray for the parents, that you would give them wisdom and guidance as they lead their family.
Ephesians 6:4 "Fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and admonition of the Lord."
We ask that you help the children to be obedient and respectful, and to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. We pray for open and godly communication to happen with each family member.
Colossians 3:20 "Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord."
We ask that your love permeate the home, binding the family together in unity and peace.
Colossians 3:14 "Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony."
Help this family to be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, and even as you have forgiven them in the name of Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 4:32 "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ Jesus forgave you."
We pray for any extended family members as well, that they would also come to know you and live in a way that honors your name.
In all things, we ask that this family would keep their eyes fixed on you, trusting in your goodness and faithfulness. May they know the reality of your promise to never leave them nor forsake them.
Hebrews 13:5 "For he has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.'"
We lift up this family to you, Lord, asking for your blessing and protection over them. Help them to be a light in this world, a testament of the power to live in your will and being saved by your son. Show them the way to be a witness to others in word and deed.
Matthew 5:16 "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven."
We still have not forgotten about the basic need to accept Jesus Christ as your savior and to know Jesus Christ as Lord. If you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, then you are missing out on all of the goodness and beauty of eternal life. Eternal life is not just about the future and dying and going to heaven. Eternal life is living in a loving relationship with Jesus Christ in which you know you are saved from your sins. Eternal life is also living in the peace of knowing that you are saved from God's wrath. This knowledge leads you to live each moment of your life in a new and joyful way.
2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."
Finally, we pray this also for ourselves in Jesus' name:
Lord Jesus, help us also, help our group, to be a light in this world, a testament of the power to live in your will and being saved by your son. Show us the way to be a witness to others in word and deed.
We lift up our group to you, Lord, asking for your blessing and protection over us. Help us to be a light in this world, a testament of the power to live in your will and being saved by your son. Show us the way to be a witness to others in word and deed.
