We hear the deep concern in your heart for this beloved family member, and we join you in lifting them before the Lord with urgency and compassion. It is clear that their current path is not leading them toward healing, and we must intercede with boldness, trusting that God sees what we see—and even more.
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician and Wonderful Counselor. You alone know the depths of this precious soul, the wounds they carry, and the lies they may be believing. Lord, we ask that You would open their eyes to the truth of their situation and soften their heart to receive the help they truly need. We rebuke any spirit of deception, despair, or rebellion that may be blinding them to the danger they are in. Your Word declares in Proverbs 14:12, *"There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death."* We pray that this loved one would turn from any destructive path and surrender fully to Your will.
We also lift up those who have influence in this situation—those who could help facilitate a change in counselors or intervention. Lord, grant them wisdom, courage, and discernment. Break through any complacency, fear, or indifference that may be preventing them from acting. Your Word tells us in James 5:19-20, *"My brothers, if any among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death, and will cover a multitude of sins."* Stir in their hearts a holy urgency to step in before it is too late.
Father, we know that true healing and restoration can only come through a relationship with Jesus Christ. If this dear one does not yet know You as Savior and Lord, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself with cords of love. Romans 10:13 assures us, *"For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."* May they cry out to You in repentance and faith, finding hope, purpose, and eternal life in Your Son.
We also rebuke any ungodly influences in their life—whether from the current counselor or elsewhere—that may be leading them away from Your truth. The Bible warns in 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, *"Even Satan masquerades as an angel of light. It is no great thing therefore if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness."* Lord, expose any false guidance and replace it with godly wisdom. Surround this person with believers who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into their situation.
Finally, Lord, we ask for supernatural peace and protection over this family member. Guard their mind from despair, their heart from hardness, and their steps from destruction. Psalm 34:18-19 reminds us, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."* We trust in Your deliverance, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love.
We stand in the gap for this one, declaring that their story is not over. You are the God who makes all things new, and we believe You are working even now to bring about redemption and restoration. Strengthen our faith as we wait on You, and help us to be faithful in prayer and action. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
