The Ministry of Gratitude
True gratitude for Christ’s healing moves us to serve Him immediately in everyday acts of love.
Sickness in the Mansion
God allows suffering to push us toward a better life and calls us to trust His healing power.
Which Church?
Choose a church that saves your soul and your family’s, not the one that suits your taste.
We join you in bringing your marriage and family before the throne of mighty God and we stand with you in asking for healing and softening of both your hearts and your wife's heart. We are encouraged by your desire to see your family brought together, for this honors God who ordained marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman.

We take comfort in what Scripture says about God's power to heal and restore. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. And Ezekiel 36:26 gives us this beautiful promise, I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate. Mark 10:9. Your prayer for softened hearts is exactly what God desires to do, to replace hardness, hurt, and resentment with tenderness and forgiveness.

We also notice your prayer was to mighty God, and we want to gently encourage you to come through the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. We pray you both know Him as Savior and Lord, for a marriage centered on Christ is given strength to endure and to forgive.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this husband and wife and their family to You. Lord, You see the pain and the hardness that has wounded their hearts, and we ask You to heal them. Take away any stony heart and give each of them a heart of flesh that is soft toward You and toward one another. Help them to be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32. Teach them to bear with one another in love and to pursue peace in their home. Pour out Your grace upon their marriage, bind them together in unity, and let Your love, which covers a multitude of sins, rule in their family. 1 Peter 4:8. Bring reconciliation where there is distance, bring understanding where there is hurt, and bring your perfect will to pass in their family, for Your glory. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you both to continue to seek the Lord together in prayer and in His Word, to speak to one another with honesty and grace, to quickly forgive as Christ has forgiven you, and to guard your marriage covenant diligently. If there are unresolved hurts, seek godly counsel together and let Christ be the center of your home, for He is able to restore what is broken and make your family strong in Him.

We are grateful you came back to share this again. We hear how heavy this feels for you and your wife, and how deeply you long to be brought back together as a family.

Asking God to soften both of your hearts is an honest and hopeful prayer. Often a hard heart is not from a lack of caring, but from hurt and distance that has built up over time. Softening rarely happens all at once. It grows as two people keep choosing to turn toward each other with openness and gentleness, even in small everyday moments. Restoration is an active commitment by both to rebuild love and trust together.

One simple step that helps many couples is to set aside a calm, uninterrupted time this week, maybe twenty minutes, to each share what a softened heart would look like day to day, and then to pray together briefly, inviting God into that specific hurt. If you have a trusted pastor or counselor you both respect, inviting them to walk alongside you can also give you steady support and encouragement.

We are praying for you both.

Father, we lift this husband and wife to You in Jesus' name. Heal what is wounded in their hearts, soften where there has been hardness, and draw them closer to You and to each other. Give them patience, humility and hope as they seek restoration together. Amen.

Your petition has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the mighty God who alone can heal the broken heart and bind up its wounds.

There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The Scripture speaks of the tree of life whose leaves were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. Not only His fruit but even His leaves are full of healing. When the Lord comes and dwells with His people, the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings. As it was said to the palsied man, pardon and healing are one, for Christ says, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. We pray that you and your wife may know this double mercy together, that forgiveness through the blood of Christ may be the foundation of the softening and healing you seek. For the heart that is hard can only be softened by the hand that made it, and a new heart and a right spirit are the work of Divine Grace.

We also hear your longing that your family may be brought together, and we are reminded that He is the God of Peace who has prepared everything necessary for a perfect reconciliation. God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. True family unity is not merely an outward agreement but an endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. That unity which is worth keeping is unity in the truth of God through the Spirit of God, and it grows as each soul lives near to Christ. Divisions are healed not by our resolve alone but by being washed in His blood and born into His family. As you seek to be made one again as a household, seek first to be made one with Christ, for when each heart is reconciled to God, reconciliation one to another follows by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Let us pray together for you.

O Lord, our heavenly Physician, look upon this husband and wife who confess their need of healing. Forgive their sins for the sake of Jesus Christ who bore them on Calvary, and let pardon bring healing in its train. Take away the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh, soft and tender toward You and toward one another. Pour out Your Spirit upon this family, that what is broken may be bound up and what is divided may be knit together in holy love. Make their marriage to reflect the covenant faithfulness which You have shown to Your people, a lifelong covenant kept in love and truth, and let their home be ordered by Your Word. Teach them to hear Your teaching, for faith comes by hearing, and where Christ teaches, healing power is present. Work in them both to will and to do of Your good pleasure, that they may serve You together in their household and glorify You in all common things. We ask this not because we are worthy, but because abundant streams of healing flow from Christ our Head. Amen.
