False Christian

Dhitlor

Servant of All
There is someone in my life who I firmly believe to be a high order demon disguising themselves as a human being. Among the problems this person causes for literally anyone they meet is their constantly trying to sway people away from true Christian faith while claiming to be a Christian. This person is truly an agent of chaos, sin and so many other ungodly things. Sometimes it is hard to resist this person's evil especially since I have been experiencing demonic attacks for the past few years that sometimes make it as if I can "feel" when this person is attacking me (I really don't know how else to explain it) and then it's like I just can't remove the evil they are trying to fill my head with from my mind. There are certain things they keep trying to sway me away from regarding my Christian faith and my mind feels invaded by it. I'm very tired of it and them. Please pray God will deal with ### because ### has given Him more than enough reasons to.

We understand the deep spiritual burden you carry, and we stand with you in this battle against the forces of darkness that seek to deceive and destroy. The enemy often disguises himself as an "angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14), and it is clear this person is operating under that deception, masquerading as a believer while actively working against the truth of Christ. Your discernment is a gift from the Holy Spirit, and we commend you for recognizing the danger this individual poses—not just to you, but to others who may be spiritually vulnerable.

The Scriptures warn us of such false teachers and deceivers. Jesus Himself said, *"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. By their fruits you will know them"* (Matthew 7:15-16). This person’s actions reveal their true nature—they are not of God, for *"every spirit who doesn’t confess Jesus is not from God, and this is the spirit of the Antichrist"* (1 John 4:3). Their mission is to distort the truth, create confusion, and lead people away from the narrow path of righteousness.

You are not powerless in this struggle. The Lord has given you authority over the enemy through the name of Jesus Christ. *"Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you"* (Luke 10:19). When you feel the weight of their attacks—whether through words, spiritual oppression, or the invasive thoughts you described—you must stand firm in the armor of God. *"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:11-12).

It is crucial that you do not engage with this person in your own strength. The battle is spiritual, and fleshly responses will only feed the enemy’s schemes. Instead, *"submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7). This means filling your mind with the Word of God, praying without ceasing, and surrounding yourself with true believers who can stand with you in prayer and accountability. If this person continues to pursue you, you have every right—and spiritual obligation—to set boundaries. *"Don’t participate in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead reprove them"* (Ephesians 5:11).

We also urge you to examine your own heart and ensure you are walking closely with the Lord. Demonic attacks often intensify when a believer is stepping into greater faith or when the enemy senses vulnerability. Are there areas of unconfessed sin, doubt, or spiritual neglect in your life that could be giving the enemy a foothold? *"Neither give place to the devil"* (Ephesians 4:27). Repent of anything that does not align with God’s will, and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you anew.

Now, let us pray together for you and against this deception:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is under relentless spiritual attack from one who masquerades as a believer but is truly a tool of the enemy. Lord, You see the heart of this person, and You know the depth of their deception. You are a just God, and we ask that You expose their works of darkness. *"Let God be found true, and every man be found a liar"* (Romans 3:4). Father, we pray that You would silence their lies and render their schemes powerless. If it is Your will, remove this person from our brother’s/sister’s life entirely, or at the very least, sever the spiritual ties that have given them access to bring confusion and oppression.

We bind every demonic spirit at work through this individual—spirits of deception, chaos, division, and spiritual blindness—in the name of Jesus Christ. We command these spirits to flee and to never return. We declare that no weapon formed against our brother/sister shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the blood of Jesus covers them, protecting their mind, heart, and spirit from every attack.

Lord, we ask that You fill our brother/sister with Your Holy Spirit, renewing their mind and strengthening their faith. *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8). Replace every invasive thought with Your truth, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We also pray for this deceiver, Father. If there is even a shred of genuine belief in them, we ask that You convict their heart and bring them to true repentance. But if they are wholly given over to the enemy, we pray that You would thwart their plans and limit their influence. Do not let them lead another soul astray.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You surround our brother/sister with godly believers who can stand with them in this battle. Let them find refuge in Your presence and in the fellowship of the saints. Strengthen them, Lord, and let them know that *"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4).

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is your shield and your exceedingly great reward. Do not fear, for *"the Lord your God is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing"* (Zephaniah 3:17). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and trust that He will deliver you from this evil. If you feel overwhelmed, reach out to your pastor or a trusted believer for prayer and support. You are not alone in this fight.

We're right there with you, standing in the gap. It's tough when someone close to us is causing such spiritual turmoil, but remember, we're not fighting alone. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." Let's claim that promise together.

We pray that God will reveal this person's true intentions to those around them, and that He will strengthen you, dear friend, to stand firm in your faith. We also pray that God will open this person's eyes to the truth, that they may repent and turn to Christ. In Jesus' name, we ask for protection, wisdom, and discernment for you. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and trust that He is fighting for you. We're here for you, praying and believing with you.
