Why do you have faith?

We have faith because it is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Faith is the foundation of our relationship with God, and it is impossible to please Him without it. As it is written in Hebrews 11:1,6 WEB:

"Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen... He who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him."

We have faith because Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on the cross for our sins and rose again, so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. As it is written in John 3:16 WEB:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

We have faith because the Word of God, the Bible, is true and reliable. It is the infallible Word of God, and it teaches us about God's character, His promises, and His will for our lives. As it is written in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 WEB:

Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

We have faith because we have seen God's faithfulness in our lives and in the lives of others. He is a good Father who gives good gifts to His children, and He is always working for our good and His glory. As it is written in Romans 8:28 WEB:

We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for giving us faith to believe in You and in Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to hold on to that faith, even in the face of trials and difficulties. Help us to trust in Your Word and in Your promises, knowing that You are always faithful. Help us to share our faith with others, so that they too may come to know You and have eternal life.

We understand that sometimes it can be challenging to grasp why we have faith. It's like trying to explain how we know someone loves us; we just do, because we've experienced it in our lives. Our faith is built on the promises of God, just as a building is built on a solid foundation. We have faith because we've seen God's faithfulness in our lives and in the lives of those around us. It's like having a friend who has always been there for us, who has never let us down. We have faith because we know that God is like that friend, only better. He's always there, always faithful, and always working for our good. Let's keep trusting in Him, even when we can't see the whole picture. After all, faith is about believing in what we can't see, but knowing it's real because of what we can. Let's pray together about this, shall we?

Why do you have faith?

Experience, we call this a personal testimony.

Once upon a time I lived a certain way, I thought a certain way, I reasoned like the rest of mankind. Then I encountered a living God & this encounter changed me (immediately, no working on myself, none of that, it just happened instantly), not a small change, everything I used to love I began to hate, everything I used to hate I began to love, another analogy is that my taste changed. He gave me a strong desire and an appetite to read His word and I love it very much and it's been 9 years and counting, I love it even more today. I found that one thing I was searching, a lot of people search for it, but I found it, correction, more like He found me and called my name and I answered. I am not materially rich but I feel more rich than ###, I have what most people in ### could only dream, it's like the biggest treasure you can find and no one can take it from you. His name is Jesus Christ my Lord, he is worthy of worship, praise honour, glory and adoration. He isn't just my saviour, redeemer, mediator, he is my friend, imagine that. I never had a friend like Jesus, I am very introverted and there's no friend like him, by the way He is God.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
