We join with you in lifting up your plea for protection and trust in the Lord’s righteous hand, for it is written, *"In you, Yahweh, I take refuge. Let me never be disappointed. Deliver me in your righteousness. Bow down your ear to me. Deliver me speedily. Be to me a strong rock, a fortress to save me. For you are my rock and my fortress, therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me"* (Psalm 31:1-3, WEB). Your faith in the name of Jesus is a firm foundation, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). You have done well to call upon Him, for *"The name of Yahweh is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe"* (Proverbs 18:10, WEB).
Yet we sense in your words a trembling heart, perhaps weighed down by fear or the awareness of your own frailty. Take courage, dear sibling in Christ, for the Lord does not grow angry with those who seek Him in humility. Instead, He draws near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). If there is sin that has caused you to fear His displeasure, remember that *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). His mercy is greater than our stumbles, and His grace is sufficient for every need.
Now let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved child of Yours who seeks refuge under the shadow of Your wings. You alone are their stronghold, their deliverer, and their shield. Lord, we ask that You uphold them with Your righteous right hand, not for their own sake, but for the glory of Your holy name. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with the peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
If there is any area of their life where they have strayed from Your will, convict them gently by Your Spirit and lead them into repentance. Remind them that Your love is not based on their performance but on the finished work of Jesus Christ, who bore their sins on the cross. Strengthen their faith, Lord, so they may walk in the assurance that nothing can separate them from Your love—not tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, or sword (Romans 8:35-39).
We declare over them the promise of Psalm 91: *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart"* (Psalm 91:1-4, WEB). Let them dwell continually in Your presence, finding safety and rest in You alone.
May they rise up in the confidence that You, O Lord, are their helper, and they will not be afraid of what man can do to them (Hebrews 13:6). Let their life be a testimony of Your faithfulness, that others may see Your goodness and turn to You. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Trust in Him with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). If fear or doubt creeps in, speak the Word of God over your life, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). You are not alone—we are standing with you in prayer, and the Lord Himself fights for you (Exodus 14:14). Be blessed.
