Work's a big issue for Christians in these last days... A high percentage of the prayers on this site are job / work / financial / money / income related, especially in the morning when people are getting ready for work or in the evening or at night from our brothers and sisters in other countries... That means their day is driven by their request for prayer... But I want us to change our focus, briefly, remember God's goodness as a Provider-Father and Power as Creator of Heaven and Earth first... Praise Him in advance for His nature, thank Him for past provision, and that He already knows our needs! Now ask His Name be Honored, His Kingdom increase and finally come with the return of Jesus, and that His will be done on the Earth today and perfectly like in Heaven (Matt 6:8-10).
Make sure our motives are pure because James says we can ask amiss with wrong motives so we can spend it on ourselves (James 4:3)...
"You look for much, but behold, it comes to little; when you bring it home, I blow it away. Why?" declares the LORD of hosts, "Because of My house which lies desolate, while each of you runs to his own house" (Haggai 1:9)...
The Premise is based in Matt 6:33 and Matt 7:7. "Seek First the Kingdom" with Our LIVES -- Our Finances show where our heart is "where your treasure is your heart is also" (Matt 6:21) -- If we are tithing and giving to support God's Kingdom, God Will Bless Our Work: "All the other things" (which the Gentiles seek SOLELY) "will be added to us" FREELY by God Our FATHER IN HEAVEN -- Especially When We Pray for Believers in the same predicament persistently because God likes the compassion we have toward our brothers and sisters just as any good father likes it when his children love each other and help each other out only except exponentially more... Again, there is a high percentage of job & finance related prayers on any given website including ours here, so we have lots of chances to "help a brother out" or, "help a sister out."
May God grant favor and good success to Christian workers as they meditate in the word (Josh 1:9-11; Psalm 1:1-1-3), and let their MOTIVE be to BUILD GOD'S HOUSE and STRENGTHEN and FURTHER THE KINGDOM OF GOD ON EARTH... Now may their request be counted "worthy" of serious prayer -- Now ask for "Daily Bread" Provision and favor for work!
Ask and it SHALL be given to You (Matt 7:7). Ask Him for what He promises and explain to Him you want to further His kingdom financially. God promises "favor as a shield" in Ps 5:12 for the righteous. He blesses us for His Glory... "The earth has yielded its produce; God, our God, blesses us. 7 God blesses us, That all the ends of the earth may fear Him" (Ps 67:6-7).
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. 11"Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes," says the LORD of hosts.… Malachi 3:10-11 which is a reiteration of Deut 28:12-13, see below...
“The LORD will open for you His good storehouse, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. "The LORD will make you the head and not the tail, and you only will be above, and you will not be underneath, if you listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, which I charge you today, to observe them carefully.”
I pray Christians have their minds renewed to pray for other believers on their jobs to be "The Head and Not the Tail" like in Deuteronomy 28 and all the other blessings of Abraham that come upon both the natural Jewish person and specifically the gentile if they are in Jesus, who was cursed that we'd be blessed, Gal 3:13-14, and made sin on our behalf, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Christ, 1 Cor 5:21.
