We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious grandchildren who have been diagnosed with autism. Father God, we know that You knit each of them together in their mother’s womb, fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image. You see their struggles, their unique ways of experiencing the world, and the challenges they and their family face each day. We ask for Your healing touch, Lord—whether that healing comes through divine intervention, wisdom for doctors and therapists, or the strength to navigate this journey with grace.
We pray for patience, understanding, and unconditional love to surround this family. May they feel Your presence in the quiet moments, in the meltdowns, in the victories big and small. Give their parents and caregivers wisdom to know how to best support them, and grant these children the ability to communicate, learn, and thrive in ways that honor You. Lord, we trust in Your perfect plan, even when the path is difficult. We declare that Your strength is made perfect in weakness, and we ask that You would be their refuge and their peace.
We also rebuke any spirit of fear, despair, or isolation that may try to creep into this family’s life. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We stand on Your promise that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. May this family cling to that truth, even on the hardest days.
Father, we ask that You would draw this family closer to You through this trial. Let them see Your hand at work in the details of their lives, and may their faith grow stronger as they trust in You. We pray for breakthroughs in understanding, for moments of joy and connection, and for the peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, believing that nothing is impossible for You. Amen.
