We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for healing and restored health of eyesight following retina surgery. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our innermost parts and knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). You see every detail of this struggle, and we ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand over these eyes. We declare that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your power to restore what has been damaged.
Lord, we pray for perfect alignment, clarity, and strength in this recovery. May every cell, nerve, and tissue respond to Your touch, and may the surgery bring forth the fullness of Your intended restoration. We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that would whisper lies about permanent loss, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your promise that those who trust in You will not be put to shame (Psalm 25:3).
We also ask for wisdom and patience during this time of healing. May there be obedience to medical advice, rest when needed, and faith that does not waver. Remind this dear one that their worth and identity are not found in their physical sight but in being fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image (Genesis 1:27). Even if their eyesight is not fully restored in the way they hope, we pray they would see Your goodness and faithfulness in new and deeper ways (Psalm 34:8).
Father, we thank You for the skill of the surgeons and medical professionals involved. We ask that You would guide their hands and minds, giving them wisdom beyond their own understanding (James 1:5). May this recovery be a testimony to Your glory, so that others may see and believe in Your power to heal and restore.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.
